Hands up how many of you own Nokia handsets - particularly in the west?

M$ is spreading more billions of dollars all over the globe. Than a farmer spreads manure on the fields. in MS quest for a foothold on the tablet and smartphone market.
All they have to do is to scrap that hideous UI of Winphones (and all other OSes of recent). That besides being ugly also is feeling old and boring after three years.
Or if the moron Ballmer and the Trojan Elop loves that ugly "Tiles" UI so much, at least give user a possibility to change UI. Like Android have had since the beginning

WP grew from 3.1% to 3.7% in the same period.
iOS fell from 16.6% to 13.2% in the same period.
i just bought a nokia lumia 520, and i bought it because of the "nokia" brand... now i regret buying it knowing they are giving it away to microsoft... what a shame

WP8 has grown to 8.2% marketshare in Europe. People are getting tired of that force close/hang daily in Android.
Elop killed nokias chance of good software designed by the Jolla team, Nokia have invested alot in hardware and their hardware has paid off, but the software by Windows is appaling, the only thing good on it is the Nokia exclusive software. Elop is evil and shouldn't have even got the job, he knows nothings about good products, he is just a Microsoft trojan horse sent to destroy microsoft, Even Nokia running Android is a better choice

Hey Nokia shareholders, i hope you soon give a comment in media about how you allowed to give one of the most amazing manufacturing companies of the world for less than the price of Skype. Full investigation about any plant job must be taken.
The phone guru Eldar Murtazin called Stephen Elop out back in 2011. Everyone bashed him for thinking that the ex microsoft employee turned nokia ceo was intentionally sabotaging Nokia so that it would be acquired by Microsoft. And sure enough, 2 years later, the put NOkia in such a position that they had no option but to accept the 'forced' takeover by MS. How else would you explain that is cost more for microsoft to acquire Skype than a Nokia ???
This is a very sad day as we will never see a Nokia with good software, I was hoping WP fails and they shift to jolla (ex meego) or android which would have solved nokias problem, WP is dull, boring and featureless, and to top it off the WP app market is a rip off, Nokia hardware has always been unmatched. Nokia N9 would have saved the company as so many people were eager, elop is evil and his plan worked to destroy
Being a Nokia fan it sucks to see Nokia swallowed up by MS. The only saving grace may be Stephen Elop. Even though he ended up being a "trojan horse" some excellent devices were released because of him. The Lumia 92x and 1020 are perfect examples of this. If he can maintain Nokia's mindset for quality; we still will have excellent smart phones.
As for now; I'll sit back and watch what MS does. Ballmer needs to leave sooner than later so a competent CEO can push MS in the right direction for their Mobile devices. WP8 is a great mobile OS that has been held back by Microsoft. If MS continues to drag its feet on the software side; hardware won't matter. If they drag their feet on both then Windows Phone is done for.
Let's just pray MS doesn't screw it up and can still create some killer camera phones.
Tommy Hank, 04 Sep 2013The only way to save Microsoft's mobile business is to switch from Windows OS to Android OS. ... moreLol You asking MS to support rival competition :p that's like giving up your wife to your boss... MS what really needs is to change mentality of their past monopoly and understand that mobile market is the key, they need act fast in hardware-software development and loads and loads of marketing, they could hire some people from marketing section of Samsung.
How many multi-million/billion companies have all of you guys ran? Of course you know what should have happened with Nokia, of course you could have done better, of course you know the industry better than Elop...that's why you're on this site every other day commenting from the comfort of your couch or your office chair. You people crack me up.
The only way to save Microsoft's mobile business is to switch from Windows OS to Android OS.
I hope Microsoft will not make a huge strategic error what Nokia has done in the past like hire Stephen Elop as CEO and adopt Windows OS!
Buying Nokia will not save Windows phone!
Today no one cares about Nokia’s industrial design, distribution, or supply chain, because their devices lack an app ecosystem.
Windows Phone has already been largely abandoned by other OEMs.
And so, we finally saw the results of the Elopcalypse.
Seriously, didn't anyone see this coming?
