Mr. R Sole, 05 Sep 2013Android is too good for "nokia" handsets. Google MIGHT just feel sympathetic enough ... moreWhat's wrong with Jolla? FYI Jolla's Sailfish OS has Myriad as one of the partners. Myriad are the creators and owners of Dalvik VM on which Android apps run. If Sailfish gets full Google Play support (which will not be surprising) officially through Google or unofficially through Myriad then Sailfish will be equivalent to, if not better than, Android OS. Jolla Sailfish can have its own app store.
vIEW THIS LINK AND READ CAREFULLY
i think most people didn't read this article well and understood it.there was a line that said that "the deal isn't exclusive and nokia are free to license their products and services to whom ever they wish to.so the i think the finns still own nokia and will be producing nokia devices in everyday life.microsoft only have a license produce nokia phones and sell on their own and even that, they still require nokia workers so it still be nokia's handy work if a device is released from microsoft's dungeon.
Mr. R Sole, 05 Sep 2013Hey people, just wanted to express how much I think Mr. Elop is such a fantastic individual. H... moreIf you think that this is just one hand job you are REALLY naive boy. This come from shareholders to directors to allot others. That crElop is just the face of what was hiding for some years now. A master plan? Yes, it is. But is not a one man's job my boy...
No more microsoft phones...i dont think that microsoft will be successful in making awesome phones and certainly i will never buy ms phones and not even suggest anyone...Microsoft will waste their resource and time.. till that time Nokia will earn enough money and will buy back their mobile phone business so lets hope...do not loose hope...
[deleted post]So whats your logic in giving me attention then?
It won't bring nokia back from the grave will it?
Are you moving to Jolla too, or are you going to swallow that misplaced pride and buy an iphone?
Android is too good for "nokia" handsets. Google MIGHT just feel sympathetic enough to throw them a much needed lifeline, one day. In 10 years.
But I hope not.
851st comment. And GSMArena, really, this news is part of IFA 2013. Worst start ever.
Hey people, just wanted to express how much I think Mr. Elop is such a fantastic individual. How one man's actions silenced so many fanboy's pride with one swift move is astounding.
So now tell me again how good "Nokia" handsets are :)
AnonD-77517, 05 Sep 2013should remove you as wellHahaha! I love you too!
Nokia - rest in pieces
Sad news. But will nokia utilize the money which they wuld get frm MS, come out with new phönes having android OS. Hope thy wuld make a fresh start.
AnonD-89724, 05 Sep 2013can the comments reach 1000??No point, Nokia has been put into the grinder lol I'm just going to refer to "Nokia" as Microsoft now lol. Hey remember the Microsoft 3310? Bet it wished it used Android now eh? Haha!
BTW, when do you think GSM Arena will remove "Nokia" from the list of mobile phone manufacturers? I think they should do it straight away :)
This comment section is about mourning. Mourning a giant. I think this is justified. MS killed a giant with the help of virus Elop.
this remember me when many many years ago Hp bought Palm (leader at the times of palmtop market)... few mounts later Palm was only a memory... history... that's probably the nokia's fate!
...Btw, finally this news stop all the junkies nokiafanboys to write crap about how good is symbian...how good is nokia ...how how... HAHAHAHAH LOL your so good Nokia just bought in a discount price from MS!!! LOL
So now it's all American, except for Samsung. Google+Android/Motorolla, Apple+iOS/iPhone, Microsoft+WP/Lumia now the americans can spy on whole world.. :P .. but really feel sorry for the fate of Nokia. Too many wrong decisions, did't listen to the consumers. Now MS will have easy ride on the boad that Nokia build by their blood and swet.
