AnonD-58837, 03 Sep 2013Please GSMarena correct your news story as it falsely states that Nokia sold its patents to Mi... moreIt's official dude, MS to buy Nokia for 7.2 billion dollars which means Nokia is now a MS's subsidiary.
Mr Elop (Trojan Horse), your plan to bring down Nokia, lower down the value and eaten by Microsoft with cheap price has been successfully. You will become the next CEO of Microsoft. Kudos.. You bring a darkness to Nokia and create the biggest unforgettable history. This is what the first non-Finland CEO did on Nokia.
micro$uck is evil !!!
micro$uck is greedy !!!
micro$uck is satan !!!
Microsoft needs quality and popularity to gain traction to their os . Nokia has it . Nokia needs money to run their company and they have it from microsoft . So at the end its good for both . This deal is better than google and motorola . Bcos google made nothing productive after aquiring the brand . It doesnt matter who aquires who untill we get some good devices. Google screwed it big time with motorola . I hope microsoft doesnt make the same mistake killing the brand nokia . I believe they dont even dare to do it.
Series 40 feature phones will soon be dead.
Microsoft will Kill the S40 OS
Stefan Elop the "Trojan horse" from microsoft has finally succeded in its mission!! This is very sad day for Nokia fans all over the world.

I have Nokia 1100 and its more that 8 years old and still runs like a champ though I had to change the battery..
Goodbye independent Nokia, I have lot of memories to remember from the 1st phone I owned with an
* Internal Antenna
* First Colour display which was affordable 7650
* First Gaming Phone Ngage
* First Smart Phoneish 6600 other that Communicator.
* An all time favourite 8800 silver, I remember every person looking at this like a jewel!!
I hope this joint venture will eventually help them not to get out completely out of the mobile scenario. Good Luck..
Please GSMarena correct your news story as it falsely states that Nokia sold its patents to Microsoft. This is not the case as Nokia only LICENSED it's patent portfolio to Microsoft for next 10years for a fee of €1.65 billion. And the license deal is NON-exclusive, meaning Nokia is free to license those patents to anyone else as well and still owns all those 10000 patent families in mobile business.
