AnonD-39745, 04 Sep 2013Lolz seriously? it just got beat by a Quad core chip-set although I do admit that its got beat... morethe main power (4cores) are used only when used by heavy software (apps) and benchmarking.. other wise it just uses the other ones which uses less power...it is not a true octacore..it is only marketed as one because it has 8 cores total
AnonD-63234, 04 Sep 2013i agree. It's about software optimization that could deliver a great user experience using the... moredon't forget to look at the size of the rom too...samsung vs cm...the 4.2.2 S3rom that leaked before is over 900mb!
darknite, 04 Sep 2013What does 25k score in an tu tu means?!It means that you achieve 25000 (25k) score in AnTuTu Benchmark
I got 28455 in my galaxy S4 I9500...it need some tweaking or mod to make it optimize with its hardware
Anonymous, 04 Sep 2013I got 25600 on my quad core S4 in AnTuTu. What does 25k score in an tu tu means?!
AnonD-180650, 04 Sep 2013This android oem cheats the benchmark score. Look at s4 it self lags a lot(8core). I feel like... morei agree. It's about software optimization that could deliver a great user experience using the hardware to it's fully potential. Not this kind of benchmark.
I have Galaxy S3 mini. Score about 6.5k. The device lag when using stock firmware.
Then i root and installed custom roms. I choose Cyanogenmod 10.1 which more like pure android experience (Nexus devices). Benchmark increase to 6.7-7.1k (Yes it increase because Samsung's Touchwiz and other Samsung thing is removed, decrease RAM and increase score in Antutu's RAM section so more user-available RAM). And this custom rom delivers what i need. Super smooth, run apps n games with a good performance. Dual core 1GHZ and MAli-400MP single core delivers what is needed. Not being bogged down by Samsung's Touchwiz and others.
So, a good phone is how far a software optimization goes for a device. I really hope that samsung should stop seeking for muscle phone but optimize their amazing touchwiz.
I got 25600 on my quad core S4 in AnTuTu.
Mind, Antutu 3 scores are not compatible with Antutu 4. And Antutu 4.0.1 scores are not compatible with Antutu 4.0 and 4.0 preview.
AnonD-180650, 04 Sep 2013This android oem cheats the benchmark score. Look at s4 it self lags a lot(8core). I feel like... moreYes friend....somehow i agree your comment.antutu no. are meaningless and gsm arena keep on published this no based on antutu score.how about gl bench2.7 ,egypt hd2.1 and3d mark.
The real performance can be trust when the benchmark instructed the cpu/gpu render real life 3d graphic that carrying heavy task.
Your eyes will judge the real performance. Not the no. Of score.
For me....i never trust antutu as what anandtech also oppose to believe.
Even my nex.4 antutu lower than note2 ....but....the gpu computations horse power much much faster while running 3d mark test.adreno 320 is so much powerful in the nex4.
Competitors are getting close to Samsung... Micromax expected to beat it in q3 in India, others are surpassing it in benchmarks...the process has begun !
This android oem cheats the benchmark score. Look at s4 it self lags a lot(8core). I feel like throwing my s4 out of window sometime. Don't befooled by score. Go for raw performance. Even google made phone moto x itself doesn't have good benchmark score. Google know its not muscles that make a good phone its the way the muscles r used
MX3 is optimized for Antutu. Alot of chinese manufacturer are ban or caught cheating in Antutu, like samsung.
sams, 04 Sep 2013Octa rulesLolz seriously? it just got beat by a Quad core chip-set although I do admit that its got beat by the Z Ultra which is a real beast.
By the way Antutu is an overall benchmark and takes into account the effects of Ram performance, memory I/O etc. and so it doesn't represent the pure CPU performance. I'd be interested in looking at Benchmark Pi and Linpack from Meizu MX3 where I am sure the Octa will show pretty much the same results as before.
To me OCTA cores make no sense at this point as a much more complex OS would be required to make real use of all the cores and a complex OS isn't quite whats required in a mobile device so far, the future, however , may defy this...
any phone with octa core processor other than Samsung will be fast because Sammy don't know how to optimise their software.
My HTC One (m7ul) scores 25562 in Antutu. It's not overclocked but i have Maximus HD rom. It's basicaly a HTC One Google Edition 4.3 with the Sense 5 on top and it has just the basic apps preinstaled, no unnecessary bloatware. It runs perfectly. PS:I like those Meizu scores .
Octa rules
No name phones will cruel the world.
SteveCHOPS, 04 Sep 2013Awesome. It even catches up with the Xperia Ultra Z despite having 0.6 less clock speed. It's completely different chipsets. Comparing clock speeds is pretty pointless. As it always have been.
What's interesting is to see how much better performance Meizu gets out of Sammys HW. Aparantly they have much better software engineers then Sammy.
