This is fooking crazy. How many cores do you need to run an android phone or phablet for fook sakes ?!?!?! I guess by 2015 note 5 will be ran by 4.5 ghz hexacore processors. Android is really BS.

Your analogies are also quite poor. The auto industry in on a much longer cycle than cell phones. Also, Porsche and especially the G-class SUVs are niche products. There is less of an expectation for design change. Even within Mercedes, they upgrade their more widely sold models quite often, in line with the industry. Nokia didn't change in the last 15 years? They had a ton of different models and form factors. Maybe you missed them. It's easy enough to scroll through them on this site though.
