Bibble Dribble, 20 Apr 20250ne UI 7 rolled out on April 17th check your phone if it need an update.I've literally checked it everyday since it was announced. I don't have it yet, but then again I'm on AT&T and they are always slow with updates. If T-Mobile and Verizon didn't have terrible reception at my job, I would switch in a heartbeat!

Here we are talking about One UI 8 and they can't even roll out One UI 7 in time. My S24 is still on One UI 6.1. on AT&T.

I would rather that Samsung spends more time testing their software and then rolling out to consumers, than sending out problematic OS updates that brick phones, cause overheating or cause hardware issues like green lines. Take your time Samsung, and please provide well-tested OS updates, thanks.

Ok, so like. If One UI 8 is coming out this year, does this mean Samsung phones get one less year of software updates than promised or do they get more than they would have normally?

More than enough for you sure, but not for the price. There are midrange phones with better cameras, bigger sensors with better picture taking abilities, some even have ultra large periscope cameras, the ultrawide is especially basic, it even lacks AF, something even my 275 usd phone has, and it's very useful for macro shots and better wide angle shots as well, and the telephoto could easily be replaced with in-sensor zoom.

The chipset isn't exclusive to Samsung devices, this the performance it can achieve can be had for less.

No, it doesn't, because neither did Samsung, and others are selling phones with the same chipset but better set of features for less money.

All it matters for me is performance. Chinese phone makers who are using SD8 Elite also didn't develop that chip. So your argument goes out the window. Samsung however managed to make the smallest and lightest phone with SD8 Elite. While also managing to keep thermals in check. That's pretty good engineering. As for cameras, more than enough for me. It's a 700 Eur phone after all, not 1200 Eur one like Ultra or IP16 Pro, so it makes sense that camera setup is slightly weaker than most expensive flagships. All in all I'm just saying that I'm S25 user and I'm happy with it. You are not S25 user and are angry with it. Interesting.

Took? No need to use past tense as it's still going, more than half a year later they still found bugs in it.

Yeah, QUALCOMM did a good job with the 8 Elite, Samsung had and has nothing to do with that chipset, that you can find in cheaper phones and it would perform basically the same. As for cameras, yes the S25 is far behind anything in the same price range, I don't doubt and I'm not saying it has BAD cameras, but for the price they really should be better, speed isn't everything a phone is about.

As for updates it was explained again and again why OneUI 7 update took so long, but some like you are deliberately ignoring that and keep spreading misinformation. As for OneUI 8 and A16 obviously it will not take so long as we see from images and from much faster development schedule. So yeah, good luck with your misguided Samsung hatred while I enjoy my S25 very much.

Of course Samsungs One UI 8 with android 16 is gonna be released faster than One UI 7, its doing what Xiaomi, Oppo, One Plus all did with android 15. A typical barebones lackluster update.
Samsung have always delivered updates fine in the past, this year the had to build it from the ground up with One UI 7, you think chinese OEMS did that?? LOL
I know it makes the chinese OEM fanboys seethe with rage when their precious OEMs are doing boring updates.
ONE UI>all other android UI's. Even with updates taking longer and getting paused
