jiyen235, 15 Apr 2025no way did that phone last that long i remember people clowning on its battery 😭😭It's completely based on adaptive battery. For heavy users and reduced battery life accounting to degradation over age, the other units' battery life would last less than my average. Also, that might be due to the fact that I had upgraded the software from Nougat to Pie upon purchase, given that I didn't get to experience bugs after updates, despite my carelessness during usage.
Either way, it wasn't a popular phone amongst commentators here, so either they may not have used it as bystanders despite claiming to do so, or those who had owned the phone realistically had used their phone in peace.
Officially unveiled on April 15, 2025, 8GB + 256GB: CNY 1,998 (Appx. $269). 6.78 inches, Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 (4nm), Octa-core CPU, Adreno 720 GPU
Just me, 17 Apr 2025I don't get where you're coming from. If the sensor support 4k 30fps output, the 7 g... moreWhatever, but companies are limiting 4k to above 8mp ultrawide (regardless if hardware is enough to support it), so Honor thinks they can get away too
HONOR Power 5g.
The C1+ communication chipset is good. 4g and 5g signal distance good.
Battery cycle life: 1600.
8-year battery warranty.
WiFi 7 is not supported.
justasmile, 17 Apr 2025Even 60fps won't work on 1080p for me, that's the problem I don't get where you're coming from. If the sensor support 4k 30fps output, the 7 gen 3 GPU is good enough to stabilized it.
It's no different if its the main camera of the ultra-wide. Can't see how "stabilization would suck on 4k ultrawide camera".
Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) is not that hard algorithm to understand. It get the sensor output (no matter is its 1080p or 4k or whatever), calculate the movement, based on gyroscope data, crop a bit the frame, so you can move it in the opposite direction of the phone's movement and then the GPU upscale it back to the original resolution. And boom you have stabilized video.
Just ne, 17 Apr 2025Why you think that. A typical EIS crop around 10% from the 4k frame to stabilize it and then u... moreEven 60fps won't work on 1080p for me, that's the problem
justasmile, 16 Apr 2025Yeah but stabilization would suck on 4k ultrawide cameraWhy you think that. A typical EIS crop around 10% from the 4k frame to stabilize it and then upscale back to 4k.
Doesn't matter if it's ultra wide or thr main camera.
That's great.
Affordable phone we emphasized battery and performance for daily use.
Snap7gen3 512Gb 8000mah great combo
DarlingYext, 16 Apr 2025Actually 8MP is the minimum needed to record 4K, it just depends on the sensor's quality ... moreYeah but stabilization would suck on 4k ultrawide camera
These phones needs to come in india so that their battery life can be tested and compared with current battery king IQOO Z10 aka Vivo T4 alias Vivo Y300+
I'm still using Honor 7C and Honor 8C but the issue is we don't get these Honor phones in Pakistan anymore. Been waiting for their phones to launch here... Come on man!
I enjoyed my experiences with 7c and 8c.. NEED NEW HONOR MODELS TO LAUNCH IN PAKISTAN TOO 🇵🇰
The kind of spec that i prefer..tho 8000 is a bit overkill.
If only this is samsung or xiaomi/vivo/oppo
Who on this earth will buy a Samsung ,Google or Apple phone in China ,with the truckload of mind blowing options they have there
DarlingYext, 16 Apr 2025Actually 8MP is the minimum needed to record 4K, it just depends on the sensor's quality ... moreNo, Its not.
8MP 4:3 (as this is the standard) is something like 3280x2460 so you cant do a 4k without upsacling.
4k (3840*2160) is actually 8.3 MP but this is 16 by 9. If you want to capture native 4k from a 4x3 sensor you need at least 3840*2880 resolution, which is around 11MP
DarlingYext, 16 Apr 2025Actually 8MP is the minimum needed to record 4K, it just depends on the sensor's quality ... moreActually more is required for 4:3 aspect ratio sensors, 11,05 mp, because horizontal resolution has to be at least 3840 pixel, which means 3840*2880 resolution for 4:3 sensor.
justasmile, 16 Apr 2025I guess Honor thought they could get away with 5MP if 8MP didn't support 4k eitherActually 8MP is the minimum needed to record 4K, it just depends on the sensor's quality and limitations if it can truly do it.
days are near we see in news of battery exploding like note 7 fiasco.
