similar cases with this is the exynos 5410 and snapdragon 600
if you level both processors to 1.6ghz (for exynos comparison) or to 1.9ghz (snapdragon comparison) the a15 still has the edge as compared to the krait ---
clockspeeds cannot be a PURE basis for performance unless comparing the SAME a.p with different clockspeeds
Will this be a software update or a thing of the future in the gs5 and note 3

Then it should also prove results 10 times better than the current Exynos processors in benchmarks, gaming performance or battery efficiency. Do u realise that the A15 processors in Exynos clocked much lower than the snapdragon krait processors yet performing equally good or better?
Anonymous, 11 Sep 2013I own the nexus 10 with dual octa A15 and still lag.Nexus 10 runs on dual A15 processor, not Octa. Nice try.
Snapdragon 800 is more power efficient and 10 times better than these Exynos processors. Remember, more cores equals to more heat and maybe you'll end up exploding your phone if you've a Quad or octa core CPU when doing intense tasks such as playing a graphics intensive game. Anyways, a smartphone can never replace a PC.
gsmarena the upgrade only for 5420 chipset not 5410 that comes with S4 octa.

We were only asking Samsung in the forum last week for
a true 8 core.
They are the best processor company.
Just because common people do not know how to operate the upcoming octa-core, it doesn't mean that it's crappy.
it's not samsung that makes the apps, it's the devs, guys

When i visit my family on the other side of the globe, i do travel in a cruise missile( don't worry every thing can be controlled by a simple app in my sammy 4).
ya one of my friend has done the 3d modelling of the entire Burj Khalifa tower in his sammy S3 and another friend controlls his latest MiG fighter plane using Sammy smartphone and another friend who visits his cousins in Mars controls his space ship using an application in his sammy. Another friend who is the Chief System Administrator at one of the top 5 IT firm, is planning ditch the IBM server for his S4.
But another friend who is really ignorant, use 4 different messaging apps browsing, watching videos and play real racing in some cheap dual core phone called iPhone or something
Yet another friend who is known for his stupidity, runs 6 or 7 games at the same time, and some chat apps and listen to music and take decent photos in his dirt cheap windows phone with one or two cores..
really pathetic isn't it?
By the way, NASA will be controlling its next mission vehicle to Uranus using next gen Sammy note 4
Thats pretty good engineering right there. The best I've seen in terms of mobile processing.
The best part is....this is on the galaxy note 3!!!!
November I'm buying this phablet.
Michu, 10 Sep 2013@Nyaks Cortex A15 from Exynos or Tegra 4 are fastest cores now, even faster than Krait 400... moreI think you are mistaken the Snapdragon 800 is consistently bench-marked faster than the exynos

lalrob, 10 Sep 2013FUTURE LINEUP OF SAMMY
2013 Q3- true octacore
2014 Q1 -False 16 core
2014 Q3 - True 16 core... moreyeah, i agree with you, i still use my grandfather's black and white TV (i don't really see the need of a 4k tv), and typewriter (why would i want to use a computer for that?), also i send physical letters to my co-workers on their vacations using air mail(e-mail is just too mainstream), everyday i walk 2 miles to work sometimes i take my horse (why buy a car? im not a race driver), also i am planing on visiting my family on the other side of the globe, but i need top plan those vacations very well, steam boats take long to travel(why take a new luxury boat? when steam boats do the same job).
now on a serious note, this was a very nice add, but i would love to see more ram, is ok to enhance processor power, but we need more ram, i have a friend who is constantly using 4 different messaging apps, browsing, watching videos and playing real racing, at the same time... and he is almost 45 (runs his own designer business, that's why he uses different messaging apps and such) and another friend usually runs 6 or 7 games at the same time, and some chat apps, so yeah, we need more ram.
to all of you serious readers i beg your pardon on the sarcastic note above, i just wanted to point out the ignorance and stupidity (please don't take this as an insult, i am using this word to remark the lack of intelligence and understanding that particular person has as to post such an empty and humor lacking comment) of some users here.
i am forward to see a full blow of multi-core running apps in the near future
Nyaks, 10 Sep 2013(Yawn) We don't need many cores yet, what we really need are faster cores just like what qualc... more the problem with faster cores is that they generate a lot of heat and makes you uncomfortable to handle the phone during intense tasks ,this is happening in all current generation qualcomm processors.
