It's not possible (the battery life results). Tecno has only announced the phone and not actually released it, so it has got to do with optimization, they haven't optimized it yet. It has happened before, i think with realme 13 pro plus, the scores were way too low, so GSMArena did the tests again after a while and the results were much much better. It's only one of many examples and i really think it'll get better, it ought to!

The only 100mah increase from the last years phone with the new technology got the battery life to worse. Tecno should increase or decrease the battery capacity on the upcoming tecno camon 50 premier.

Xperia 5 V also if am not mistaken top sd 8 gen 2 phones, so it's not just midrange even Highend they top charts.
Also Nothing phone 2 one with sd 8+ gen 1 had u believe ale battery, it tops phones of its era, so are Phone 2A and it's variants and CMF 1

Its really bad to say that tecno camon with only 5100mah performed worse compared to the 30 premier with its 5000mah battery.
tecno is not really going well with its new battery technology, with only 100mah increase over its older counterpart, which has got the battery life from great to worse.
Tecno should decrease the battery capacity in the camon 50 premier from 5100mah to 2000mah and change its technology. This change will likely get better battery life on the camon 50 premier compared to this phone.

Their HI os is very similar to Hyper os, so not a surprise that has bad battery life. BBK corporation ( oppo, vivo , realme ) are champions in battery life in the last couple of years.
