S25 ultra 256GB could be preordered for $1300 since Jan 22nd. It's on sale for $1068 on Amazon right now, so, so much for tariffs, the price went down.
Current and old pricing is 100% still Samsung's own pricing, not tariffs.
Once the price increases by 35+% then your Trump derangement syndrome would be correct.

S25+ 256GB should not cost more than 600-700USD and S25U should not cost more than 1000USD at launch.

This is simply part of their usual strategy. Samsung is likely to roll out Android 16 with One UI 8 around April or May 2026, aiming to boost sales of the Galaxy S26 series. The current announcements are just a way to set expectations, so when the update finally arrives, it appears seamless and free from major issues. But mark my words—they’ll start implementing it by early April or May 2026 on the Galaxy S25 series and select older models. Compared to iOS, Google Pixel, OnePlus, and Xiaomi, Samsung is lagging behind in timely software updates. Their software support is currently at one of its weakest points.

One UI 8 is based on Android 16. Meaning it also brings features from Android 16 aside from Samsung own features/refinements
If its is One UI 7.1 then It is still based on android 15 with no Android 16 features.
