I find touch ID non-sense and non-productive. Tell me why do you need it.
Many people will lose their finger. Give me your iPhone and your finger Just in case.
luvmyarcs, 12 Sep 2013nsa will be happy because they will get all iphone users fingerprints! What is wrong with NSA has everyone's finger prints? In some country, at the age of 18 you have to make an ID card which contain the finger print too.
geordie81, 12 Sep 2013I understand it perfectly well and while you are butting in the convo maybe read. Mobile phone... moreYou don't understand it at all if you compare this to Atrix and old HP laptops.
[deleted post]I'm asking agaib: what exactly does it do and how does it work? Stop your marketing bullshit and explain.
This is very true
NSA will have access to all fingerprints of iphone users, and if u have ur homes and offices with fingerprint security. then they can access their homes whenever they want, decrypting a code is a sudoku game play for them now

The sad people who just troll any company slagging them off is just lame. The implementation is good, i am impressed with how slick it is but the implementation was not the topic of conversation so if u cant read then stay out of the conversation
oh... Very bad. In winter days always you have to put off your gloves

I dont like iDevices but have no problem giving credit where it's deserved, this is good tech with a good implementation.
AnonD-185550, 12 Sep 2013Apple must patent this before other's manufacture (read my nickname) copy their idea ;)why would apple patent something that is already available on a MOTO DROID https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/62441
rasa, 12 Sep 2013Nah...thanks, android is much better :)Why?Because of having widgets?Hahahaha.
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2013Yeah. They must have a way to purge your fingerprint details upon restoring the device. If ... moreWhen you want to sell it you should deactive the pass lock and after that sell it.
AnonD-185550, 12 Sep 2013Apple must patent this before other's manufacture (read my nickname) copy their idea ;)samsuck. Have you already forgotten the motorola android devices of a couple of years back that already used this tech?
It's well implemented and the scanner is much more secure than a regular fingerprint scanner. One of the best features of the year, beats the crap out of s4 air super lame gestures.
However, iTunes dependency, tiny display, tiny battery and restrictions in all directions, the rest of the device is not much to be excited about. 5s is more behind this years competition than ip5 were last year, ip5 competed with already dated mediocre devices like Galaxy S3, the 5s faces Z1 and G2, and the even bigger challenger may be the rumored Z1 Mini. Well, people are gonna buy the 5s no matter what, the fan base and brand recognition is immense.
AnonD-185550, 12 Sep 2013so s-voice is genuine idea from sams***?But you did not mention s voice before u were talking about this fingerprint tech. Different conversation mate.
