samsung copied concept of the smartphone but who doesn't?
in every field of industry, everyone copied each other and they don't think it is copy. it is trend. moreover, apple copied lots of concepts too

Bat Warden, 12 Sep 2013Nope. If you read the article it says that it doesn't have any advantage for 32 bit apps. ... moreYou are utterly misinformed, it only takes advantage if the RAM is 4GB or higher, the whole point of 64-bit architecture is to take advantage of huge availability of random memory.
MittMittins, 12 Sep 2013You must have 4GB of ram to take advantage of 64-bit

"There are significant boosts in general purpose and floating point registers that come along with this move."
The OS is 64 bit, any apps programmed to be 64 bit will, obviously, be 64 bit, and they'll be able to take advantage of these advanced features regardless of the amount of RAM in the system. I don't see how I can make this any more clear. You do not need 4GB of RAM or higher to take advantage of these features. It's a nice feature of 64 bit, but it is not the only one.

The 64 bit instructions are still used ... moreI too have been building PCs and actually it's the other way around, manufactures doesn't ship PCs with 64-bit operating systems with 2GB rams because it's useless, you need at least 4GB ram for the OS and programs to utilize 64-bit.

The 64 bit instructions are still used even if you have less than 4 GB of RAM. That's how the Android SDK knows if you're in a 32 or 64 bit environment or how applications and games know what executable to use. 64 bit has more than one advantage. I suggest you read up, especially if you think buying a laptop with 2GB of RAM was a good choice.

I suggest you read on this before come up with such a statement
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2013Why would you be shameful when in fact your Galaxy S3 is way more advanced than the iphone 5S?... moreS3 more advanced than 5s? You are really really kidding right? The only thing thats good with SHAMEsung is the size of their screens. Other than that, NONE!!! SHAMEsung only copy from the Great Apple. Just because you have big screens, it doesn't mean ur better already.
Also re-sale value of Iphone is best unlike SHAMEsung, once you re-sell SHAMEsung's 2nd hand phones it will re-sell almost half the price.
Try playing poker with s3, s4, and note3- it's so slow, always lagging. (s)low3 and (s)low4 is a joke.

Learn your hardware.
64-bit ARM architecture was developed and licensed by ARM in 2011, Apple didn't invent 64-bit nor is an Apple feature as Apple fanboys try to portray. It's up to the manufacture to use the architecture. Unfortunately 64-bit is rendered useless unless you at least 4GB so even if Samsung release a phone with 64-bit CPU and 3GB ram it's still rendered useless because 64-bit instructions can't be utilized.

As a sales rep for one of the big 3 companies in Canada I can tell you the exact opposite is true. People see the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Mega and all these other large devices and just laugh saying "Who would want something like this?". iPhone is outselling the other handsets and hardware specs don't factor in to that. iOS runs better, gives a better user experience and is just all around better, period. It doesn't need quad core, it doesn't need a bigger screen, it doesn't need more RAM. This iPhone is still going to outsell any other handset, hell, even the 5C will be outselling them.
[deleted post]That's exactly right. That's why Apple copied the notification center from Android, the cloud system from Motorola, the LTE on their iphone 5, and so much more to mention.

People fail to acknowledge that what they "WANT" is not the same as "NEED". iOS doesnt "NEED" bigger battery, or more cores, or more ram. They just want it
L33t Masta, 12 Sep 2013Because CNN says so? People don't understand iOS isn't like Android. It doesn't need quad core... moreAbove all that, using a phone with a tiny screen will definitely not strain your hands but just your EYES. LOL!
apple iPhone is all about a complete mobile Eco system. once u entered there..u never look for android.. Samsung is known for marketing..not innovation. they increase mega pixel cont, ram, possessor cores screen size etc..bt no build quality at all..as results there galaxy s4 lags ven u open gallery r switching between apps...bt my iPhone 5 never lags..my iPhone 5 also open same apps quicker than s4 can..thats coz of superb hardware n software configuration..so in real words Samsung sucks.........

And how many times should Apple fanboys defend their argument in saying that IOS does not need quad core processors, big screen, more RAM, bigger replaceable battery, etc. Let's face it, all the people want is- the more or bigger the better. So please stop playing hypocrite.
