PeterH, 12 Sep 2013I get so tired of all these android fan people that compare the specs rather than the full pic... moreFirst of all, you can't do calls with an iPad mini. And secondly, who want to go around with a smartphone and a tablet at the same time just so you can see details on the screen and do phone calls when you can have both in one device?
Say hello to the Galaxy Note 3 that is perfect for that.
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2013You say it's all under the hood, am I missing something here cos iPhone 5s has nothing under t... moreshow some intellect dude.. under the hood need not necessarily involve ripping the phone apart and seeing the components... is that how to treat android phones when they say its octa core? do u rip it apart and check core by core to the count of 8?
every iphone is surely has more FLOPS than its predecessor and its a pain to increase speed while maintaining the form factor.. and EVERYONE KNOWS HOW FAST AND SLICK IS IPHONE IS.. WITH EVERY ITERATION, THE CELERITY GETS BETTER AND BETTER...
and they do offer 1 year warranty coz, its very evident, the life of an iphone is 1 year approx and they tend people to go in for next iphone... i suppose that other manufacturers also give one year warranty.. u want extended warranty.. pay it and get it...
Wow!1570mah. I had that back in 2009. My s4 has a 2600mah battery and is the only phone with the best battery life out right now.
I get so tired of all these android fan people that compare the specs rather than the full picture. Making a football team with the best players in the world doesn't necessarily make it the best team in the world, Apple fits everything together and make it coöperate perfectly.
Best example for this is how they improved the camera, the made bigger pixels and aperture to improve it. Samsung etc. would just put a 20MP sensor in, not that the pictures would look any better (HD resolution is 2.1MP. But yah simple people just look at these specs and decide that it's better, rather than having it compared in real world.
Apple really does make great products. If you want a bigger screen get a fu****g ipad mini
@acropoliz, 12 Sep 2013i accede... Octa Core is total waste of technology, no one application can take full advantage... moreWhat makes me laugh is how much focus is put on features and technology and not how it can be used day to day, by the average user.
Sure, the iPhone 5S isn't a massive leap forward, but neither was the Galaxy S4, or the HTC One.
It seesm to me that smartphone advances are slowing. The Flagship Androids are all very similar, while the WP8 phones are still struggling (due to lack of third party support) while the iPhone has always been its own beast (I still think of it as an iPod touch with phone capabilities)
AMH, 12 Sep 2013Most of the people in the world have tried iOS and i find it to be limiting but everyone is en... morei accept with you on one point.. honestly there is a reason to like WP, they are good, but definitely lack marketing, but android... hmmmm...NO...
and when u say iOS is limiting, it seems that u refer that its closed whereas android is open... but security in android is pathetic, phones get rooted even before they are released to market.. further every flavor of android across every OEM's look entirely different and also feel different.. No two are same.. in fact they make user experience even cumbersome, due to lack of uniformity..
you can like android because of many reasons, but one has to accept that the limiting boundary must be well circumscribed, else there is no point in today's smart phones.. and apple does that really well...
Still doesn't matter because the battery on the 2 new iPhones are still a big joke with a 1,507 mAh and 1570 mAh battery compared to the battery in the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3 and LG G2 phones.
That's even smaller battery that the stone age old Samsung Galaxy SII phone is lol. Says all really.
If you want so small phones like the 2 new iPhones, then you have to live with tiny crappy batteries with a crappy battery life.
Just live with it.
yeah, 12 Sep 2013i umplug my iphone 5 at 7:30am and at 11pm im still at 30-40% under moderate use. ive had my i... moreYep and the iPhone 5 was that good they stopped making it, so was not that good was it
@acropoliz, 12 Sep 2013I love this 5S, first time i actually liked a S product.. Always under the hood is what that m... moreYou say it's all under the hood, am I missing something here cos iPhone 5s has nothing under the hood, and how did you see under the hood iphones are sealed units, billions of shares lost as soon as it was on stage, it's a pathetic phone stood still for years now, and if they are that good why is apple the only manufacturer that gives a 1year warranty, that's because they know it's junk, live with it

Not to forget the fact that Apple iPhone 4 with a simple single core processor was able to play smoothly (and i mean buttery smooth) 1080p videos...
Its always better resource utilization that really matters and not increasing resource and later wonder on how to take advantage of them...
octacore is a simple waste of time and a publicity stunt..
Anonymous, 12 Sep 2013At least they don't fall for Samsungs latest "Octa Core" claims. Lol.boom lol.
dheerajmehta, 12 Sep 2013iphone 5 battey used to die within 10hr of moderate usage 1507 to 1570 mAH...??INNOVATION ... morei umplug my iphone 5 at 7:30am and at 11pm im still at 30-40% under moderate use. ive had my iphone5 since day one (sept 21, 2012). im now testing battery on iOS7 but so far so good.

@acropoliz, 12 Sep 2013Yup.. u r right... people has the right to comment on things that they actually don't feel and... moreMost of the people in the world have tried iOS and i find it to be limiting but everyone is entitled to an opinion like you are bashing android and i accept that You like ios, I android ,someone will like WP8 there is no harm in that
Radical05, 12 Sep 2013Yawn can we get more articles on xperia and samsungEnough with the Samsung, we get new articles every day about them. More Sony.
dladz, 12 Sep 2013Does this increment in battery size and the minor changes actually merit an upgrade? Not reall... moreSo an improved camera, a processor that is twice as fast, 10% more battery for the size that it is, a fingerprint sensor, a completely redesigned OS with new features, is Apple giving nothing?
Just because Apple doesn't conform to the slow witted technology addicts who have to have the latest octa core (lol) and the highest definition 5 inch screens doesn't mean they do NOTHING.

BUT (with a CAPITAL B), inclining towards androids and quoting that droids are better and iPhones without actually using iOS devices extensively, simply is unacceptable and sux...
These comments on android are simply circumlocution, trying hard to bash at apple without any base..
Android may be more technical than iOS, but definitely lacks culture or charisma...
dheerajmehta, 12 Sep 2013iphone 5 battey used to die within 10hr of moderate usage
1507 to 1570 mAH...??INNOVATION
... moreOnly because they are large smartphones.
Get over it. The iPhone is a compact smartphone. It doesn't have a massive screen like the Android flagships. It doesn't desperately need a 1080p display for it's size. Neither does the SGS4, or LG G2. It's a marketing gimmick, like octa core and Facetime.
I love this 5S, first time i actually liked a S product.. Always under the hood is what that matters.. Its always with apple that they are apropos with their upgrades, to where it really matters.. Luv u apple..
Androidians, please find some other blog, don't even bother writing on iphones'... It is so blatant that you people are highly satisfied with the skimpy and sluggish android, acclaiming its openness and hefty other features, yet still compare them with iphones, which is actually an inevitable bench-marker....
