The foldable have the bigger screens, more spacious.... moreDidn't try one yet.
I mean, except for the dual screen setup of LG G8x, a 2020 phone that I own.

Many of their devices were complete duds, but they at least had the courage to innovate (and I don't mean like how Apple has the "courage" to "innovate"). Even though I never considered the LG Wing, I still have to respect them for trying something new.
Yeah. Well Samsung's newest foldable isn't even out in the first quarter. But makes for good headlines I guess.

Samsung's stagnation has made its market share decline even further, I want to know how it is in Indonesia when many Chinese have also started selling foldables here.
If LG is still in the smartphone market and refine the Dual Screen experience, I can absolutely guarantee more people would go for dual display solution instead of foldable screen phone. The same thing can also be applied to Microsoft's Surface Duo line.
When is 4% lackluster growth?
make them weigh half as much and i'm interested

Brands that just entered the foldable markets can easily see growth. As an example last year they sold 40 units, this year 72, BOMM, 80% growth. See, one can easily lie to the public and to the investors boards with statistics.
WTF? What did Motorola and Google do to deserve such huge spike in sales?
Only Samsung and Honor's crash make sense here.
Foldables closer to be abandoned big companies refused to produce of what we want.
A durable, long lasting, powerful and cheap COMPACT SMARTPHONE.
YOU LOSE!
Foldables try to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Foldables are cumbersome to carry around, not because of their weight but because of their thickness. Their inner screens are able to be scratched with tapping from fingernails, none of them would survive without damage accidentally dropping them or dropping something like keys on them. They have a visible fold thing that is always visible and they cost as much or more as a decent phone and tablet combined.
Useless gimmicks driven by corporate greed.
Hopefully, this product segment ends soon. Just isn't practical with current screen tech durability

It has been really usefu... moreThe lightest foldable (expected to be launched) is 209 grams (Vivo X Fold 5), all others are heavier than it.
Galaxy S25 is 162 grams.
Yes, you're right, a common phone still weighs around 200gms~, but if I wanted a light, small phone, then why would I choose a foldable?
Wouldn't I get something like Galaxy S25, or Oneplus 13T/ 13s, or a 170~gm phone from another brand?
Your use case, is not clear. All smartphones work like computers only in a way, how is a foldable better?
Sam N8 808 owner, 09 Jun 2025Foldable. Hmm... Even if I was a different customer, why would I choose a foldable?

It has been really useful, at least for me. Maybe because I use my phones as computers 🤔
