Samsung galaxy S advance was having curved display, so how can they say they are working on their first curvy display phone?
AnonD-190496, 25 Sep 2013Nope. The Nexus S glass front was curved but the screen underneath was flatOh really? I guess I didn't look closely. How about the Galaxy Nexus?
I guess in the case where both I mentioned didn't have true curved display, then I guess first commercialized one isn't up yet.
I was under the impression when I first read the article that GSMA was talking about Nexus kind of curved screen, but more I think of it, it's probably curved screen that extends to the side of the device.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2013Nexus S was curved, no? Yes of was and also the Galaxy Nexus has curved screen too. But they are considered Google phones even though it was made by Samsung.
Apple lovers will spend their full energies to prove that Samsung nicked this curved technology from apple, they might try to tell you first apple monitor had curved screen in 1970s hehehe they're crazy
Nokia fan, 25 Sep 2013Samsung is not the first who created flexible oled copy and robers again Samsung! http://www.... moreDon't give bad name to your fellow Nokia fans and read the article and understand it before humiliating yourself with that kind of comment.
May be they won't introduce high end spec device because it will hurt the sales of Note 3 which is the best android smartphone.

The fingerprint scanner has been around for years and Apples was defeated the second day the phone was available so before you proudly hold up your phone make sure someone with a 2nd grade education doesn’t hack it. It’s a shame, the same phone 2 years in a row, but its premium because it cost a lot and Apple told you it was.
Samsung is killing Apple ... HaHaHa, its so fun to watch this race of two .. where Apple always at second place and trying to come first .. but no way
Samsung is not the first who created flexible oled copy and robers again Samsung!
AnonD-139887, 25 Sep 2013Oh Great. Another samsung announcement? I hope these new models don't also become like s4 wher... moreOh… it lags; it lags… that’s all I hear from Apple fans. I’ve had my Galaxy 3 for well over a year and it doesn’t lag, neither does my friends who use Samsung devices, my background animations don’t lag: oh and for Apple fans, background animation is when you can have various shapes or graphics floating behind my apps and widgets; and some can be interactive. Oh, one more thing, Widgets are mini apps that are constantly collecting data that I can access at an instantly on my G3. But Apple fans are too busy arguing nonsense to see how short changed they are. Just face it, the Emperor has no cloths Apple.
I wonder how the decision makers in samsung management are able to do this.. I think they are ready to accept any sort of idea that their staff are bringing. Any way we customers are really gaining from it. You should not say you are competing with Apple.. Now It is a time you are competing with your self..
This has been teased before along with the flexible screen smartphone on a samsung advertisement of their future phones. I believe the so-called curved display would appear on the next-gen note phablet. It functions in a way that even with a smart cover, you can see who is calling or read text message by looking at the side where the screen curves out.

Even if there is a "lag" issue, it must be on a very tolerable degree, and that is because Android is a highly costumisable and a productivity oriented OS, people and company can do whatever they want with it and it has the true multitasking capability. The Note 3 has pc-like multitasking and features that iphone owners can only dream of since the nature of Apple and iOS will never allow their users to have them.
While the iOS is only good for gaming and opening one app at a time, it's also very limited, restricted and pretty useless for work/productivity. And now, the biggest "innovations" that Apple can come up after a year of r&d for their iphone is the 64bit gimmick and the copying of an Android phone's feature from 2 years ago. Talking about gimmicks and copycats. Lol
This curved display tech is something entirely new and futuristic, only a truly ignorant fool wouldn't call it innovation.
A Samsung flexible screen, it is a copy from others companies, i didn't knew that. You must be drunk.
