for me this is a real problem now, i have had all the samsung galaxy to date, 1,2, 3, 3LTE,and now the 4, but the problem for me is that I Travel, and I mean a LOT, so for someone who would consider buying the potential galsxy S5, this may actually force me to look to another smartphone maker.
this is silly and make no sense, a phone should really be able to work world wide and not be restricted, please don's start becoming apple and forcing customers to use phones the way you want them to and not the other way around. bad move Samsung.
This is totally unacceptable. In case anyone is travelling from one region to another, they will not be able to use local region sim cards!! No one will be able to go on holidays/ business trips carrying Samsung Phones.
AnonD-77889, 27 Sep 2013The Exynos processor is not inferior to the Snapdragon. In fact, its quite the contrary. Also,... moreCare to explain how? Exclude the raw power. Even if Exynos deliver more processing power than Snapdragon. It'll be just some points difference which "doesn't matter". On the other hand, I am paying to be a user of a device who is recording video at 4K resolution which isn't available in Exynos and why do I even pay more for a Exynos version than a Snapdragon one which is more stable than Exynos(proved by many sites, Google for confirmation).
Now tell me, isn't it inferior? In-fact, Snapdragon uses a quad-core while Samsung is currently using "dual-quad" cores right now which I have no idea when will be a true octa-core which is a "gimmick" too. Octa core on a phone, seriously?
It's the arrogance that comes together with a success, we have 5 Samsung devices at our home, will most certainly be the last ones.

On the other hand, right now, I will pay around 850$ for an unlocked Note III + 50$ shipping charges + tax and other nonrefundable cash and then when I finally get it in my hands, I will found out I just wasted almost a 1000 bucks for no reason? Seems a big failure and a desperate attempt to limit buyers to only buy those S4s which are available in their region indirectly making an unlocked phone locked.... Nice strategy to earn Sammy...
None of the brand won't even follow this because they aren't as much successful as Samsung and if they do it, they will lose their customers and it will be a big loss but if Samsung just lose some of it's customers, it won't be a big loss because Samsung already got millions of customers which I am assuming won't be with Samsung due to these kind of strategies. Samsung is becoming a greedy manufacturer slowly.
Instead, buy a Sony or Nokia or LG or HTC...
very bad idea.if European people travel to other counter the phone is no working even roaming
wht is that bullshit
This is so awesome. Now SONY will emerge as top android maker :-)

So I was thinking to buy a Note III at some later time and I will probably ship it due to "Exynons" Note III available here(which is inferior to Snapdragon) and I will end up is wasting my money? Cool story Samsung. Tell me more about it.
Not quite a deal? The end user better be able to unlock it. Otherwise it will defeat the purpose of me and others like me who buy an unlocked phone. The purpose is being able to use the phone ANYWHERE IN THE BLOODY WORLD under any SIM carrier. To be honest, I don't care much about the warranty.
What about travellers like me? Am I expected to buy a phone at every country I visit?
I'm sure Samsung wouldn't pay my Global roaming charges.
Laters Samsung, sick of your shit. Hello Sony!
Ahahah, samsung's success is getting into their. I was going to get a samsung phone but with this I'd rather get another android.
Samsung in long run will suffer a lot with such policy. There is nothing special in samsung phones other than superamoled screens.
To have different prices policy for every continent. Which mean cheaper in US, expensive in Europe...
