I think Microsoft should think vice a versa, i.e. installing Anrdroid in Lumia phones along with Windows, then they can automatically boost the sales of Lumia's instead of going to HTC... Microsoft think of it seriously.....
As said before this reminds me of the old days on xda developers when guys would dual boot the old windows mobile handsets and android, it was great fun, I miss my HTC Touch Pro 2 and SE Xperia X!. If MS was a little more open and allowed us to flash WP8 onto current Android handsets it would be great and allow the modding audience to have a 'root' around! I still love my WP8 handset though, wouldn't change the 1020 for anything ATM.
Better for Microsoft to develop is than concentrating Nokia or HTC. 1. In android file manager 2. In android every application u will get 3. In android u can use wallpaper for lock screen and for home screen, as well as live wallpapers. 4. In android is shortcut of WiFi,internet, blutooth, etc....etc with one touch 5. Nokia done big mistake but HTC should not done big mistake, Microsoft didn't give choices then y to give chance to them 6. Microsoft come with good os which require.
It's a shame that Microsoft resorts to these dirty tactics and desperature measures in hopes to gain marketshare instead of bettering their OS so that consumers will have compelling reasons to buy them instead of it being forced to them.
why ms need htc when they have nokia. by the way if nokia had done this then imagine..........
dlads, 04 Oct 2013Microsoft!! Please listen carefully, Your new operating system, it sucks! It's not very good a... moreIs Windows Phone. Not Windows Mobile! Gosh! From a person who has not use WP before to blabber so much....
Guys way back in 2008 xda people use to dual boot Windows devices with android.
Now history returns.
Anyway it's really good news for customers
dlads, 04 Oct 2013Microsoft!! Please listen carefully, Your new operating system, it sucks! It's not very good a... moreWindows Phone is actually a very good and fluid OS. The only thing missing are third-party developer support for apps and a couple of features which Microsoft should focus on working at in adding them in their succeeding updates. Windows Phone has better user experience than Android.
Microsoft, just buy htc...and all other oems using android, well except maybe samy, lg, sony then you will be able to compete with android:), but from the article
"Microsoft is now having to take desperate measures to ensure success in a market which they once dominated."...I seem to have slept too much, what year are we? I really don't remember microsoft dominating the mobile market, ever...
Microsoft!! Please listen carefully, Your new operating system, it sucks! It's not very good at all, and all the marketing and gimmicks and pushing it to different phones and providers and places in the world isn't going to change that! Do you understand? Windows mobile = Not very good, I don't know how else to say it to you. Just do what you did with DVD HD and scrap it, it's crap.
This means that HTC phones can dual boot to Android and Windows Phone. This is cool though. HTC should try it. They'll be the first one in the market to have this feature. Who knows this could boost their sales.
Microsoft should unwillingly agree that they haven't done a fair workaround with WP8, having said that why don't they ask Nokia to release some limited amount of Lumias with Android onboard and let end user decide which ride they wanna take. Nokia could've taken Apple outta market if they opted to be bought by Google instead of Microsoft
If Windows is installed in MicroSD card, Android still running in the phone memory, than why not to try at all? If Windows goes crazy, you just take out the MicroSD and continue your way with your beloved Android. I wouldn't bother myself with 2 seperate OS installed in the same media (IMHO, that is not a good idea).
BUT WAIT, HTC phones mostly have no MicroSD slot at all(that is the PRIME REASON of their unfortunate faiure by the way) :)
Voodooman, 04 Oct 2013I have a better idea. Why doesn't Microsoft allow Nokia to put android on their devices? Oh, w... moreHey that's might be a good idea. By using Android there is hope Nokia will turn into making profit and later MS could sell Nokia with huge margin.
