Just like what apple did before, a capacitive touch screen, that not a branch new technology but major ppl thing that was a big step for the innovation of smart phone
p/s: sorry for my english
Yeap.I also can't see something new here.Except that "look like wire" battery.Anyway, there is a lot of new technologies for batteries but greedy monopolist hold it back...
Cickova, 08 Oct 2013try to curve regular battery. If you have big luck it will stop working. if you have luck you ... moreSo what? You can't "curve" that LG battery either. it's already curve. if you attempt to bend it, it'll break. no innovation here.
ralkap, 08 Oct 2013Then Apple will patent the wire battery and LG have to pay Apple. FYI Apple has already curved battery and already patented it before LG even announced their own version. Google it.
kevv, 08 Oct 2013If this is not an innovation, what is the innovation ? Mind controlling the phones ?Curved battery is not innovation. End of discussion!
DroidBoy, 08 Oct 2013I don't get it whats the big deal?? It's a curved battery is that innovation?try to curve regular battery. If you have big luck it will stop working. if you have luck you will have minor injuries, if you dont have luck, battery will explode. Remember Tesla car the other day?
Shezione, 08 Oct 2013iwatch is nearThe iphone collection is already the size of a watch so no need for an iwatch :/
ralkap, 08 Oct 2013Then Apple will patent the wire battery and LG have to pay Apple. OH my goodness don't ever let that greedy company get hold of it..LG will have all the patents on this as far as I can see, depends if any bits of the tech are part of any other patents because Philips been studying bendable tech a lot early in 2000's.
Well, I must admit that, even if they're known for less than stellar design or software, the Koreans have been churning out compelling hardware in recent years (displays, memory, SoCs etc). Still not enough for me to buy an LG or Samsung, but pretty much any smartphone, tablet or laptop on the market today has parts designed or manufactured by one of them. That should say something.

This is good. Maybe now we can finally see phones with decent battery and being able to last a full day of intensive use.
I have the LG OPTIMUS G, & the LG G PRO. Now I'm an LG fan man. The G Is good looking. Like a showpiece. My favorite, is the G PRO. It's brilliant 5.5 inch display. Speed. Built in 32gigs. Did i mention Brilliant screen? L G made it handy. Not too wide like the note. And here in the states, $100 on contact and you walk out with it...... WOW! !!
I don't get it whats the big deal??
It's a curved battery is that innovation?
can also drop any good mobile phone international countries not only in korea as good mobiles phones please
LG is really stepping up rapidly in the mobile technology industry. . .
all the best lg. . . love innovation. :) love LG. . :-)
We need more battery life with minimum size and don't care whether it it is bendable or 'wire' shaped!
