Exact copy of Note 3 in terms of design. Yawn. I'd rather get an iphone 5s for that price.
Anonymous, 13 Oct 2013Hmm...the Secret "Note"...With "3GB" Ram, and emphasis on the "stylus... moreOh yeah...And the special flip covers that also so strikingly resemble something...Same as LG is doing....
Hmm....Where did all these things come from?
Hmm...the Secret "Note"...With "3GB" Ram, and emphasis on the "stylus"interesting shape, design, and button placement too.
Guess the guy gushing about him purchasing an iPhone proves a point. Try this. I did, and walked away with an Android ( LG G Pro ).Honestly evaluate the Samsung S4 or Note whatever ( at the time the Noe II was soloing it). Also include whatever iteration of Apple you'd care to. Include the HTC One ( for me # 2, best display out there) as well as the G Pro. Thus far for me, ( I always have Tango, Skype, and Viber running as VOIPS ) as well as GO SMS Pro, Drippler, Ymail, FLipBoard, Chrome with 20 + browser windows open. And a host of others as I Literally run my business. No hiccups, no reboots. No Lagging. And the HTC display dazzeled me. Problem was it was at 4.7in. too small. The brilliant 5.5 in G Pro display belw me away. In the evenings, and at night, I turn the display to brightness to "0" or close to it. In all but direct sun, I need not have the display past 90%. Typically 35-67%. At 400 pixels and 5.5 inches, it STILL topped the Retina display bound Apples. Note please, neither the 5s or it's lobotimized twin the 5c have improved their display tech. All Androids are now hovering around 400+ pixels. OUr think-tank predicted the inability of any ONE company to match the 'Droids once Google got the OS together. In the end, a camrea does not a phone make. Nice to have the nicest possible. But not at the expense of what makes the "resistance futile". The power of the Collective.
Its always funny to see that when a new phone comes out everyone wants to compare it to the iphone. First thing l have been in this industry since 99 and l have used almost ever device that has come out even all the iphone's. Truthfully you can't compare this pantech which a lot of the parts in it say samsung to an iphone. This a tablet or phablet not just a standard smartphone. The pricing is high like all phones when they come out but the price will come down fast. In value though in my opinion the iphone is not worth the full retail price that it carries but apple customers are apple customers they are hard to change.....Good Job Pantech on this new device...Keep it coming...
sridhar, 11 Oct 2013$839!!!No way I5(s) is more value the money!!Note3 off contract is available for $700.
sridhar, 11 Oct 2013$839!!!No way I5(s) is more value the money!!As long as you want no choice in how it looks or behaves and does not support standards that most other manufaturers take for granted. Last I checked the iphone cannot even support Bluetooth properly. You can connect to any device just as long as it is another iPhone or Apple device. By the Note if you do not like this. If you do not want the stylus there are cheaper alternatives. Why would I buy an iphone that has less functionality and is locked down to the hilt? That is not better value for money as far as I am concerned. The iPhone is a rip off in terms of price IMHO so to equate somehting else to it makes no sense to me I'm afraid. I know instead of a Rolls Royce car that I dont see as worth it I will buy an over priced BMW. I fail to see the logic I'm afraid.
Anonymous, 11 Oct 2013Are you insane, 839 US dollars! if have had that money, I would go with iPhone 5s 64GB.Personally I buy a phone based on a number of things, not just the price. You seem to be implying people only buy anything other than the iPhone becasue it is cheaper. Nothing could be further from the truth. I would not buy an iPhone if it was free and all the call texts and data were too! When it seems a company's only means of competing is too run to the nearest court room at every possible opportunity and hope for the best, rest assured they will not be selling me anything.
Anonymous, 11 Oct 2013The idea of a stylus was not Samsung's. If you can say that, then Samsung copied apple for usi... moreAre you sure? What about LG Prada then? It was first with capacitve touch screen. Also the stylus on this Pantech is made of rubber(as I can see) and it's not Wacom style. The phone is great but the price is to high. How much will this be in €!

yolo, 11 Oct 2013For a not so well-known company, that is one expensive phone. Phones such as Xiaomi have same ... moreTrue that, at this price, the buyer would need to SERIOUSLY love fingerprint readers or Pantech.
AnonD-52738, 11 Oct 2013Asian carrier? Pantech phone only officially available in Korea only.Wrong, Pantech phones are available in my country. And Im not from Korea. Don't ask me where because then you'd probably say, ok they sell in Korea and *whatever country I live in*.
jk, 11 Oct 2013 pen who copied samsung introduced for the fist time amd price it is over price The idea of a stylus was not Samsung's. If you can say that, then Samsung copied apple for using capacitative touchscreens instead of the formerly used resistive.
ericsson t39, 11 Oct 2013We want to see improvements m8. We don't really care who paid who here. I bought the original ... moreAgreed. Just had to educate some of the Samsung fanboys about the history of Samsungs occasional lack of ideas.
Thoru, 11 Oct 2013Mostly because Samsung doesn´t persue dump design patents like Apple did with the iPhone... moreYou have to get your facts right. Samsung was sued by apple for the same stupid reason you're talking about. And that reason is because the used rounded corners on the S3 when apple had patented it. By your logic, every car manufacturer should include different wheel layouts, and perhaps have the headlights on the roof or something.
