So how come iPhones are the top selling phones?
How come there are so many small screened Android phones that sell in the hundreds of millions.
How come there's an S4 Mini, HTC One mini etc?
AnonD-175233, 17 Oct 2013I can absolutely tell the difference in sharpness between an iPhone 5S and my Galaxy S4 Active... moreSo do you see how the pentile sub pixels mean that the Samsung isn't really 441, that this loose definition is a result of marketing.
Might watch some porn using the VLC for iOS App on my iPhone, how come I can't find VLC for my Galaxy S4, its not in Google Play, just some crappy version that doesn't work?
So what was that about "restricted"?

Remember this when all the fandroids start spewing how good it is, Apple did it first.

AnonD-172676, 17 Oct 2013Could you please name one?!!!Palm, Symbian, WinMo and the Apple Newton.
Touchwiz, the most popular Android is boring and old, yellow flower icon for the photo's is so 2007, Samsung first copied it from Apple with the Galaxy S and is still using it today.
dont make a bitter comment here...why become so sentimental while neither Google nor Apple know you? buy the products and leave....

Every Apple product is like that. Don't believe me? Try building a Hackintosh(doesn't matter portable or not) and you'll see the difference.

Based on your grammar and spelling, it is fairly certain that you don't have much experience with Apple products and most likely cannot afford them....
"...While hauling out phablets whenever you want to make a phone call isn't everyone's cup of tea, the numbers don't lie. Bigger may not always be better, but it sells more phones...."
Sells more means better?! No! Apple sells many because of good marketing only....
i phone screen L O L ...it`s the whole thing that`s behind every others, even Nokia is better than any i phone.
AnonD-175233, 17 Oct 2013I can absolutely tell the difference in sharpness between an iPhone 5S and my Galaxy S4 Active... moreHm, at 12" distance most people with good vision cannot resolve more that about 350. So your claim doesn't really ring true - it may be in your head, or you have rare vision.
Either way, for many the 4" size is perfect. I have a phablet and am getting rid of it, because after the initial excitement I realized that it is simply too big for daily use.
For me probably 5" is the max, but my wife thought that my old Nexus, at 4.7", was too big to comfortable handling.
There are a lot of decent phones on the market, but overall, the iPhone is still one of the best. If Apple comes out with something close to 5", I would probably go back to it, simply because I find the iPhone a bit better than my Android in daily use.
I have a laptop with a better display than a MacBook Pro. Does that make the laptop better? No.
I can absolutely tell the difference in sharpness between an iPhone 5S and my Galaxy S4 Active (440 ppi). I was surprised because I thought I would not see any difference, but high detail pics (say a field of sunflowers, or trees/shrubs with lots of leaves) and you can immediately see it.
It won't matter for the majority of iPhone users because their world is so narrow and they enjoy being in the Apple prison, but it matters to me. I can deal with all of Android's inconsistencies and quirks in exchange for superior hardware, superior ease of use *(open file system), superior .... everything, except UI consistency, which is Apple's forte.
Anonymous, 17 Oct 2013'Sharper screen' - lol Simply shows the people that write this junk. The human eye cannot see... moreWhat rubbish, for an iPhone or any phone for that matter to have true retina display it would depending on which studies you believe a 100% increase in the number of pixels. A person with 20/20 vision at 0.4 arc minutes can discern pixels up to nearly 900ppi at 4 inches dropping to 720ppi at 1ft.
Ace 1000, 17 Oct 2013No, I donít think my comment is extreme at all. Iíve read all the comment, for example the ga... moreI totally get the logic. But it is not correct to say Apple fan prefer "slower Cheaper" cars because of their sales. We all know that the iphone offers much less than Samsung's S-this S-that but it is priced the same. So in fact people are paying for slower cars that are AS EXPENSIVE as other top end cars. Reason for that? Less is More sometimes.
You lot a get a life, bloody pathetic, you lot sticking up for these brands and defending them, what are they doing for you? These products you lot raving on about, are they giving you them for free? You're paying ridiculously expensive price for something which will we termed 'outdated' when the next flagship comes out which nowadays is 6 months down the line. I would understand your loyalty and arguments if they were helping to actually meaningfully improve your life,
Well what find here is absolute jealousy towards a handset that people cant afford. they are expensive but for the technology. Hand gesture - innovation ??
i think swiping or touching the screen is convenient than raising you hand.
just telling what we already know. if you want a restrictive os, expensive accessories. get a iphone 5. if you want the world most popular os, 75% free apps. And now restrictive os get a android. its that simple.
gam30toronto, 17 Oct 2013Your example is quite extreme. Yes it's all about sales. This is business and if it's not abou... moreNo, I donít think my comment is extreme at all. Iíve read all the comment, for example the galaxy S4 with all of its ďuselessĒ jesters. But itís not that theyíre useless, the fact that you have the option to use them at all is where innovation comes from. Or another example, the Bugatti Veyron has a top speed 253MPH. But the speed limit of most highways is between 70 and 80 per perspective states and countries. So, slower cheaper cars that sale in higher numbers for an Apple fan would be better than a Bugatti Veyron because it sold more. See the logic?
