This is obviously far better than the over 1k asking price by other brands.
SShock, 06 Nov 2025I wish Redmagic would make exact same design with flat cameras and hidden selfie cam, but with... moreI would prefer driver support over an operating system (Android) that, over the years, has become increasingly similar to a poor copy of iOS. (It is becoming increasingly closed, increasingly restrictive in terms of permissions, and increasingly heavy and full of Google bloatware/spyware).
It's easy to blame a “game hub” (just to mention the most common Chinese ones), only to find out that the entire operating system (Android) performs telemetry 24/7 on your devices.
This is exactly what Microsoft does, but with the aggravating factor of being “open source.”
As for the game mode, I agree that the interface could be more sober and minimalist (at least for us in Western Europe and Rome, who still know the art of aesthetics) and not a jumble of icons and colors thrown together at random.
As for the stability and quality of the hardware, I can't say anything negative: fantastic surface optimization, excellent design and manufacturing quality, and excellent battery life even after years of use.
It's also a true portable device for retrogaming.
I can't complain about my operating system (Android-debloated) version 14.
But if a future RedMagic device were based entirely on Arch Linux or Fedora, or even Debian, it would be a real game changer.
Perhaps a specific distro to be officially installed (and I would also send Android to hell)
I wish Redmagic would make exact same design with flat cameras and hidden selfie cam, but without the "gamer" nonsense like trigger buttons and that dedicated "gaming mode" with more restrained styling.
Imagine RedMagic 11 Pro without those gimmicks in all black or white, but still with exposed fan and liquid cooling system in blue.
However, main issue for me is almost non existent software support. 2 years of updates, maybe, pretty much is not something I'd expect from a 1000€ phone. I love everything else, but come on RedMagic...
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2025jerry is an alias, as his channel is named jerry-rig-everythingIt's not even his alias. "jerry rigged" means making things happen by any means available, even if using hot glue, zip ties and duct tape. If it works, it works.
Honestly, I don't care about all these "innovations", if then and finally, Qualcomm doesn't release a shred of source for the GPU!
RM11 will not be different from RM10.
(there's no point in randomly issuing sentences on this or that software, if then and in the end, the general efficiency goes to hell, the thermal throttling arrives after 10-15 minutes and the battery doesn't last anything [seeing and considering that, once again the CPU will have to take care of a large part of the Vulkan extensions code NOT accelerated via GPU?])
What makes you think that I will move away from the current RM9 (SD8Gen3, totally MESA Turnip 100%) in my possession?
I want Facts, Not Talk.
In the meantime, I'm going back to playing with a Sackboy and a Soulcalibur6 and an NFS Payback at max settings.
And I do it with x86-64, not with that mismatched crap of an "arm64ec" and its "fex".
Thank you.
I want to see comparison on the same device with / without this stuff in order to truly know if it really helps or rather a gimmick.
He could have tested the device before poking the thing, then test it again.

So we thank you for having some else job. Hope you dont do anymore with technology industry.

It only proves your field of view is really small just like the 90% of toher people around the globe.
If it were so bad noone will be maing it globally.
Yet here we are.
So fix your issues and try again.
Cheers.

RushGamer, 05 Nov 2025Another joker here, Vapor chamber and Liquid or Water cooling are two different things dude.
... moreIt is not liquid cooling. It is nothing but gimick. A liquid cooling system need a pump to circulate the liquid coolant and a radiator to radiate the heat. Where are those in the RM11?? Just an another gimick for the clueless.
A bigger vapor chamber with more metal in the midframe would have been better than this gimick.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2025Honestly built in active cooling is currently useless, just focusing on a bigger vapor chamber... moreAnother joker here, Vapor chamber and Liquid or Water cooling are two different things dude.
For the RM11 Pro's cooling system:
- Fan cools down the VC around the board and CPU
- Water/Liquid Cooling cools down the battery side
- It also has a 3D vapor chamber in the middle that sandwiches the AMOLED, internal components and back of the battery/board for dissipating heat
Tell me, how is this non-effective? You'll see this in the gaming performance of all RM phones. FPS dont drop, performance stays on even for prolonged usage.

The fan acts as the radia... moreA vapour chamber "cooling is a perfect example of why liquids don't work. The design is solely to try counter heat spikes, at the expense of long term cooling. A liquid put inside a small inflated space, made to evaporate if it gets hot. Once it evaporates, it only works as an isolator, making the processor overheat faster. That is why they've all pretty much moved on to using materials with high heat conductivity to spread the heat to parts of the frame.
Putting mechanical solutions in a phone you'll drop on a regular basis is a terrible idea. A tiny heatsink on something you put in your lint filled pockets is an even worse idea. Long time ago, I repaired computers and laptops for a living and 99 cases of 100 a laptop that was unstable, overheating and crash all the time was cause by blocked heatsinks. When they get blocked, the processor really starts overheating from nothing and then the bond for the heatsink breaks and you're boinked for good.
Enjoy this garbage social media influencer sales scam. It's so typical Chinese brands.
Wish he'd played a game on it.

Solid better than liquid? Do you mean vapor chamber? That has liquid inside it.
One way is to compare the Xiaomi's 17 Pro Max with this, see which one throttles more.
