Again, as the iPad pros and other tablets show, there is no need for high ppi at 10”+ screens like the Z tri-fold inner screen.
Huawei only had to put a high ppi on their whole screen because it’s the only screen for all aspect ratios, including 6.4” (where 269ppi wouldn’t be enough). Think a bit more next time.
Anyway, the truth is that the Z tri-fold design is just superior and more durable to the Huawei one, just because you don’t need to have the weak plastic screen always exposed.
And yeah, I’m definitely the biggest Samsung fanboy. I currently don’t even have a Samsung phone, but sureeee 🤡

ProMaxUltraAreBricks, 03 Dec 2025So the 10”+ iPad pros / MatePad Edge PPI are excusable because it’s “further away,” but the 10... morei don't know if you know this, but your eyes see less detail the further away the object is from your face. This is why smartphones have PPIs of 300-500, while a TV will have a PPI of 50-80, because your eyes cant make out the difference from that far away.
For a device that you're going to be holding pretty much every time that you're using it, yes the PPI matters and needs to be higher so you can't make out the pixels. You'd be more likely to hold a foldable because they're just.. more designed to be held? they're far more fragile, and the effort to make them thinner and lighter is because they want them to not be heavy and obnoxious to hold. The trifold also just doesn't sit flat on a table well, and I guarantee that kickstand cases for the trifold will be incredibly finnicky and unstable. the "flex mode" also just doesn't work on the trifold because of the way the hinges are designed. The Fold's screen is smaller, so you'll hold it closer to see better, and also you can't use it for drawing.
I could continue to go on, but I think (hope) you get the point. Regardless of what you think about my reasoning, the display should still be a higher resolution for the insanely high price that this thing is going to cost, especially when you consider all of the other specs that Samsung skimped out on with this phone. Trying to argue otherwise is genuinely just pointless and only proves that you're just a fanboy sucking up to a multi billion dollar company that doesn't care about you at all.

And yes, the PPI of the iPad pro is similar, however the iPad is more often than not going to be farther away from your face than this, thus you wont be able to make out the pixels- the iPad is also less than half the price. Additionally, the Huawei XTsU has a much higher PPI (381PPI) whilst having the exact same size screen.
There's no excuse for Samsung putting such lackluster specs in this phone for this price, besides cutting corners to increase profit.

Those aren’t called “trash” just because of this level of ppi and also similar level of brightness (iPad Pro 2025 1600 nits).
PWM is definitely an issue, but only for a minority of people.
And, yes, I agree 8 bits is a bit odd, but the truth is, very few will spot the difference between 8, 10, and 12 bits.
Also, the main sensor is the same from S25U (only UW is weak and Zoom is definitely trash)
and chipset is not only just faster, but way more efficient too.

The Huawei one? lol It’s like comparing a Huawei midrang... moreThe only things the Z trifold does better than the XTsU is the faster chipset, higher refresh rate, and a better main camera sensor (though still garbage for the price). ignoring those, the Huawei runs circles around the Galaxy. The biggest drawback of the trifold is the specs of the inner screen. Resolution is trash (269 PPI, which is about as good as the galaxy A07 with a 720p res), 1600nits peak brightness is terrible, the PWM dimming is still garbage and harmful to sensitive eyes, and worst of all, it still has a shitty 8 bit color depth when everyone else (including apple) has moved on to 10 bit or even 12 bit displays.

LOL, they haven't been a flagship since the S23 ultra which i got rid of last month for the new X9 Pro, that's a REAL flagship with proper specs. 2 day and 15 hour battery life, shits on the Samsung 5 year old cameras, and MUCH smoother and better OS. Samsung are finished with their regurgitated 5 year old hardware lool, they still use a dog shit 5000 mah battery which cant even last the day. They kill their phone after every update, you have to be mentally brain dead to even use Samsung devices nowadays. And now they make a tri fold phone with a 5.6k MAH battery? They think you are a bunch of idiots which you are LOL.

i dont get why they didnt release this in a 1 tb model. This is your halo product, your top of the line thing. You want this to be your best. You didnt put in the best chip? Ok, it was in the development phase for a long time, at least put in a 1 tb or 2 tb rom model then.
Pricing isn't too horrible, could've been worse. First generation halo phone and all that. If you think this is egregious i dont see why you should be okay with modern flagship pricing. 1200 to 1500 for a normal bar phone is a scam.
