Anonymous, 26 Oct 2013That's news to everyone. So the US has 4G but not LTE? So, in your mind, what's the differen... moreHaha. Exactly.
I think the problem here is that most people are non-technical and, carrier and country locking aside, think they can take any phone they use in their home country that is 4g-LTE enabled and use it where ever they go. Doesn't work that way. You have to consider the frequency bands and the phone hardware.
Especially so in the US. Phone manufacturers come out with US specific models not just to support the branding, but the mis-mash of how 4g and LTE is implemented in the US.
Best example of this is the spread spectrum implementation of 4g on T-Mobile's network.
AnonD-100398, 26 Oct 2013Samsung do still have any other reason for not giving S800 with LTE and all the other goodies ... morePARAG - This is the strategy of both Samsung and Sony. If the majority of carriers and subscribers do not have access to 4g they don't offer the 4g capable version of the phone in that country. It's not just India where this is happening.
I can tell you that one person I know who works in Samsung's regional sales & marketing has said this is a problem because they see sales going to other brands who are not using this strategy (LG G2 is the example he used.
Call the Samsung country office and complain. If enough people do the same they will listen.
redhat, 26 Oct 2013and Mr. sunny In Us they r having 4g (20-40 Mbps)NOt LTE on lots of carriers At&T ,Verizon... moreWrong. All carriers in the US have LTE in most markets.
"The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Network was launched on December 5, 2010, and the initial buildout has been substantially completed."
Samsung do still have any other reason for not giving S800 with LTE and all the other good features on NOTE III in india ? .i am...not going to buy NOTE III just cause of that reason....this is a high time samsung...learn fast ...
AnonD-12015, 26 Oct 2013And you believe coverage of 3G and 4G in United states is great ? US is bigger then India and ... moreDuh! No carrier claims to cover the entire US. The US is to big and places with low population densities just aren't worth the investment. And, Duh! Your friend works at a call center. The place people call when they have problems. No wonder he hears so many complaints about people not getting service. And, Duh! Your friend works for Sprint. They've got the worst service in the US. Their 3G is barely useable, forget about whatever they call 4G.
viral , 26 Oct 2013what is price in mobile ? please give specification in this mobile 3G,HD,camera ,androied, etcgo to xolo.in or .com check it thr..
redhat, 26 Oct 2013After 3G it's 4G.LTE is more advance technology further 4G(for more technical detail please go... moreThink you better check that again. T-mobile tried to call their HSDPA+ network 4G, but even they switched over to LTE. ATT, Verizon, TMobile have LTE. Not sure about Sprint and their WiMax debacle, no one really pays attention to them anyway. Your speeds are going to depend on how many people are on the network, but with the carriers investment in LTE now, they can more easily ramp up speed in the future if they have the backhaul.
Nigel, 26 Oct 2013There is no 3G coverage established in india yet whats the use of a 4G Phone.Where do u live?

So, in your mind, what's the differen... moreAfter 3G it's 4G.LTE is more advance technology further 4G(for more technical detail please go wiki..)In US compnies who already invested in 3G just revised thier speed to 30-40Mbps and called it 4G(making customers fool)Please check 4G carrier bundled handsets thier just capable of max.42 Mbps and actually giving 16-18 Mbps speed.I am getting 14-16 Mbps speed on my 3G connection(vodaphone, idea) in INDIA.

US is bigger then India and have poor Network in many parts of the country , i had a friend who worked for customer support for Sprint mobile in India for US customers they could reject many applications of customers where they had no network , he has worked in others companies too (US Mobile carriers ) and claims it same there too .
redhat, 26 Oct 2013and Mr. sunny In Us they r having 4g (20-40 Mbps)NOt LTE on lots of carriers At&T ,Verizon... moreThat's news to everyone. So the US has 4G but not LTE? So, in your mind, what's the difference between 4G and LTE? (I think, technically, no one has 4G now, except maybe S. Korea's LTE-A, but I'd like to hear your explanation)
Also, the last info I read says that only just over 50% of India will have LTE coverage by 2018 (barring any delays). So it will probably be a while before India has anything comparable to the US network.
