If you want a heavy WP phone, why not buy a 1520? It's the best Lumia there is and probably the last flagship Nokia Lumia. And yes, the camera is probably good enough.

I am a die hard Nokia fan buy not a "fanboy". In views of a fanboy, Nokia is doing better but according to me, they are still doing bad.

Anonymous, 28 Oct 2013Why is a laptop 50% more than a desktopThere is no reason. In fact laptops should be cheaper, because the production is much bigger than that of pc's.
The pc industry is killing themself. They raise the price as the sales is dropping.
Why are pc's and laptops so expensive? Because they make those devices with software like Win 8. Useless. Now qe use and buy apps. In the past we found them on internet and mentiomed them programms. Why? Because company's like Microsoft and Apple want to make money.

In my country, Pakistan, it's more popular than iOS but less than Android. Well! It could just be my area because I don't live in the whole country.
Furthermore, I have endless debates over this "Asia and United states" "Developed and under development" economies in the blog of GSMArena. I am by the name Maximus there. We can talk about it there because I usually avoid debating in the news section as its filled with trolls/fanboys.
I also have never said about the popularity of the Lumia 1020. I was just defining why it's price should be low.

You simply don't see people wielding Nokia devices. That's why the price of 1020 in the states slashed to $99, probably due to lack of demand. And nope, no need to show me articles that the 1020 is "popular". It simply isn't, fortunately. If it's, I'm sure Nokia will have guts to publish it quarterly smartphone sales figures.

The cost of production, Research and Development, level of engineering it took to pack such high power camera in a slim body, to redesign the camera algorithm, supersampling codes etc.
By keeping that in mind, I am still saying they had priced their phone insanely high. We being loyal Nokia customers can understand the premium feel and the technology packed in such a slim body but Chinese on the other hand doesn't even understand it like we do. In their country, there are lots of cheap price Chinese phones available. They can buy them as substitutes. Windows Phone is still growing. What would you expect people to respond about this device which is still underdevelopment(OS) and it's price around 1000$. The phone should be priced around 600-650$ globally. I know it will cut some revenue but they shouldn't have to be worried about its sales.
It could be sold in quantities but the high price is a big draw back for many of the customers out there to buy it. At low price, it can even climb success but at high price, it's just too much difficult.
it's still to expensive. there is no reason why a phone or pahblet sould cost more than twice a tablet.

How do you expect Nokia to cover its R&D, manufacturing, and marketing costs if the phones they sell just break even? Ultimately low-margin phones lead to poor user experience as the company cannot bring in enough profit in order to make the investments it needs.
Being a very big fan of Nokia. I was disappointed too with the insanely high price of the Lumia 1020. I have no idea for what reason the phone was price that much high. But whatever happened, seems to me it's in my favor. I am getting this phone as soon as it is available in my country and the slash in price is good for me.
