Anonymous, 29 Oct 2013whats with that block with a cat lolcat scan :d
AnonD-147044, 29 Oct 2013It seems that you're rather tech illiterate. The phone would be 8cm thick or something because... morei want that phone.
we can easily replace a broken module without having to spend a fortune on a whole new mobile phone.
whats with that block with a cat lol
Finally a SMART smartphone
AnonD-1036, 29 Oct 2013OMG! i Dropped my phone :( It shattered. literally. (._.)/ if you didn't want to shatter your phone, you should have bought a casing
Compatible with windows phone... Live blocks instead of live tiles!!! LOL!
Yeah, and there gonna be new "endoskeleton" versions every year, that makes your old "blocks" incompatible, or at least won't perform seamlessly. Then OEMs would manufacture their own modules which wouldn't run with the others. And think of all the pirated blocks that would come out from fly-by-night factories.

Wonderful concept which will just increase compedition :)
Unfortunately this feels like vaporware, just like many great concepts we have seen :(

It is in no where as strict as wp or ios for that matter when it comes to hardware; it is more like our pc with windows as its OS, and I also admit that this will add to the level of complexity, but we need another step forward in technology since it is getting stagnant the way things are now with smartphone technology where it is all about cores, memory and camera nowadays.
OMG! i Dropped my phone :(
It shattered. literally.
Primark, 29 Oct 2013I kind of understand where your coming from; it is like comparing a gaming pc to ps3 and xbox ... moreExactly that's what am trying to say..
now you are saying that android OS solves this issue..any source?
as far as i know.. android developers have stated long ago that development on android is not an easy (hell like) process.. due to android fragmentation issue.. google try to provide tools minimize impact.. but issue still there..
Add to it this idea and it will be even more worse..
Like PC. Some users need graphic cards, other sound, third fast processor, according to someone wishes. Hi Fi is best also when someone choose each component. Why not mobile phones do it same way? Good idea for cars too. (Sadly not possible for human being)
this is not hard to implement, the major companies don't want to sell just a camera module they want to sell a whole new phone. Motorola would like to sell anything right now, even modules :)
A great idea but how easy will it be to get those modular blocks if you want to change the camera. Will it be a universal device....meaning that most companies would offer the blocks. How often are companies likly to release new componants. Great concept though.
Not a bad concept.
But modular as it is, it still have a fix "base"
Maybe have several base, 4 inch size / 5 inch size / 6 inch size etc etc.
And this is where the flexible screen comes into play.. NOT a curve phone ROFL...
AnonD-194535, 29 Oct 2013if the !dea seems effective then ""SAMSUNG"" copy the !dea soon.............You just want to start something don't you?
I think that they should sell a standard build so that you wont buy it 1 by 1.
