Samsung fab workers, 12 Jan 2026We happy qualcomm back to us, we will make many great chipsLike potato chips? Make it very hot and crispy 😋
So for that Firedragon incident back in 2022 gets doomed of fruatration in performance, they switch to TSMC foundry. You already just read it.
But could be interesting if Qualcomm to produce Samsung 2nm with GAA everything packaging on it, and how well it performs on putting overclocked Oryon CPU in the first industry.

If you want samsung then S25 series or S24 ultra.
Else Xiaomi 15, 15t pro or if you want the latest then 17 series.
I would not buy the latest from anything anymore. The difference in terms of what you get is near 0, but the difference between what you need to give, now that is huge.
I would not buy samsung either at this point as they have grown complacent for a good while now.

MrSTTEK, 11 Jan 2026read my post again...do you have any 2nm GAA ES from Samsung or anyone tested them?Samsung always claims they are that good, but still heats up for last 8 years. People know what to expect at this point. No need to read into samsung markekting too much.
Samsung can't even do a good job on their own Exynos dissapionting chips, why do Qualcomm think they could even manage theirs?

True
All throttle
But Samsung throttle were way beyond worse
Just look at Google tension I mean exysion I mean Tensor
Samsung chip could only be stable running at 2Ghz like the 4nm Snapdragon 4 gen 2
Heating again…
Good bye qualcom
Anonymous, 11 Jan 2026How is rhe Exynos 2400e bad?It has good peak performance which is great for normal use.
But under prolonged load like gaming, it throttles poorly, and with heat.
It's power consumption is also overkill compared to Snapdragon counterparts.
At least you can set the performance profile to Light to lighten the load.

So if Qualcomm next gen soc on 2nm with all bells and whistles will hit 5GHz are you expecting it to run that clock 24\7?(maybe in Antarctica but thats besides the point) Are they false advertise? phones are phones there is no way around heat dissipation and thermal transfer. You cant go against physics man.
Thermal trottle aka TjMax exist on every modern device and its not marketing.
Your cpu and gpu will be power or thermal limited in some way, they design it that way to get the most out of it +- silicon quality varience.
To anybody here who's open to Samsung fabbed Snapdragons. Remember that review samples are not retail products. Don't let Samsung entice you with a good benchmark of a review unit. Absolutely wait for the retail reviews and comparisons with TSMC 2nm. Otherwise you might just be buying another Sd888 or SD8g1 based on their deception.
And no I do not wish for Samsung to fail. We need competition. It's just that they've promised us good results before. Their marketing department is very very good and their Fab is weak (historically).
