i have 1 question here, since Google says that 4.4 is optimized for device with as little as 512MB of RAM, is that means 4.4 will be updated on previous year devices? Or only future devices with 512MB of RAM?
Here's hoping that my xperia v goes straigth to 4.4 LOL, there is non reason for it not to.
it is simple, for those who want to know whether their old phone can upgrade or not, use Nexus 1 as benchmark ... if your phone performance almost same as Nexus or lower than that, dont expect it will runs on KitKat
i guess it ll support 512 mb ram but not old cpu architecture.. thts y older gen nexus phnes must not b getting the update. also google will try to reach max number of custmrs by droid
. i guess tht ll b dne by new phnes.. nw the low end phnes can easily sport android 4.4
darknite, 31 Oct 2013Tech.Chief where are you speak about continuittttyyyy for Android devices ;PHe is still asking permission to comment on android since he was only paid to bash other platform. Oh well its holiday
Can even run smoothly on a 512 Ram device!! Sounds great! But I still doubt on this though, no words on other spec like CPU and GPU requirement as well, hope Google will fulfill its promise
In my notion GingerBread is was stable and solid like a rock. And people enjoyed it including those who are reading this post. Ice Cream & Jelly Beans were catastrophic. I can foresee calamity on this one Kitkat nothing beautiful... it's like toys colourful
yes they said it can support 512mb ram BUT.. they didnt say anything about the cpu and gpu.. maybe they still have some minimum requirements not just 512 ram
