If Samsung is not very careful, they will take the “Korean approach”. This will lead to some nice new gimmicks, but...
- more bloatware
- more deviation from standard Android
- slower devices
- less updates to newer Android versions, because it’s too much to test all the bloatware
- less available storage space, e.g. 8gb devices will have only 2gb free
- the rise of Huawei, Sony, maybe even HTC and Nokia
AnonD-134497, 06 Nov 2013This is how they create hype. I am sure, we'll be seeing Galaxy Note sold more than 60 million... moreSamsung is selling because of quality performance. I for one am not sold on buying a device based on news of it being sold in the millions. I buy it because it conforms to what I need, and Samsung is hitting those needs for millions, just as any other company is trying to do.
AnonD-197336, 06 Nov 2013If samsung is making phones for humans why aint they make some humanity in their prices It's not their fault. Leave Chinese companies aside. Now each and every genuine company like Nokia, Sony, HTC, LG price their phones like Samsung. It's not like Samsung followed them or they followed Samsung in pricing. The pricing is determined by market force. If they announce a phone with a price of 600$ and it's attractive then they don't consider lowering prices. Simple words: Marketing mechanism.
Apple: That's a special case. Even GSMArena wrote about iPhone 5S as insanely expensive lol.
AnonD-197336, 06 Nov 2013If samsung is making phones for humans why aint they make some humanity in their prices Apple is good for that .
AnonD-197336, 06 Nov 2013If samsung is making phones for humans why aint they make some humanity in their prices Agree, Samsung's flagship is somewhat pricier than its competitors. But Apple did worse as we can see the price of iProne 5s is much overpriced. I think Samsung have a competitive pricing policy along with their marketing strategy. Please don't forget, Samsung also offers low priced Android phones for budget oriented customers.
Nice to see Sammy haters falling one by one.
Go Sammy, this world would never find the most innovative corporation like you. Sooner and later.
If samsung is making phones for humans why aint they make some humanity in their prices
Anonymous, 06 Nov 2013They have never gave false numbers thoughFrankly speaking! The false number I wrote, meant the exact figures. In today's oversaturated smartphone market. I believe it's hard for even a single manufacturer to sell more than 50 million of a single unit. 2014 will be a hard time for those companies which enjoyed the top mark thanks to Chinese....
If the companies like Huwaei, ZET, Micromax started launching phones globally. They can give head to head competition to the top manufacturers like Apple and Samsung.
I repeat again, 2014 will be a very hard and competitive year for the top 2 giants.
samsung oem software is piece of junk, people need to root and install custom rom to benefit the most from the hatdware.
Their build quality also need much more improve ...my note2 edge has begun to chip after 1 yr of using and i have never dropped it once
The title say "100M notes...". The number indicated is for S & Note devices. Not only Note. Oh, and I am one of the 100M, I bought a Note II.
This is how they create hype. I am sure, we'll be seeing Galaxy Note sold more than 60 million by the end of November because of the hype which aren't even real numbers but just a way to attract more customers how much the Galaxy Note brand is successful. In the views of a wise man, this is more than the best marketing by Samsung. Even, this news is a form of marketing. The intelligence among Samsung for creating hypes and spreading false numbers sometimes is really successful and they should be applaud for it.
hard to believe, too many devices are out there that really similar to each other....
