I liked XPERIA. The phone is awesome. The kind of Battery backup it has with so many features is KEWL. I don't know whether the new XPERIA wud be equally fascinating or not. or may be more.

I heard from a couple carriers that there were delays with the X1 launch plans due to a few bugs. A handset this complex will usually have several minor issues and doubt that was the reason for dumping HTC. If I had to speculate though, my guess would be that HTC could not reach the price point needed by SE to be competitive with this device in today's market.

What a device this is for the first phone in the Xperia series, I'll be buying this when I can, and looking forward to any future Xperia handsets.
Congrats to SE and HTC for a cool handset.

would just sony and apple collaborate?!?!? + samsung or moto...like..............a cellphone with the iphone interface...with sony technology and the design from samsun or moto.....(dont forget the keypad and this would be the most interesting phone)....i just woke up.....but preferably....sony should collaborate with apple or samsung

Good decision by SE.. No more flagship handset made by SE main competitor like HTC. Xperia X1 is manufactured by HTC.. It's just not good for mouth to mouth marketing..

HTC is the best manufacturer and... i've got mixed feelings
HTC is strong enough, made devices for their own.
but... more devices, better choice. even with SE logo on the front.
on the other hand, let's give Mobinnova a chance. they wont be better, but equal... why not?
the most important is, there'll be more WM from SE. waiting for Nokia! ;)

Everybody knows that X1 is made by HTC, but the article means that the NEXT XPERIA, maybe X2 or smth like that, WONT BE made by HTC.
