IDC also found that over two thirds of Android phones have an average selling price of $215, indicating that most of those sales are in the low end of the market. And the average price has been falling, too, which will end in tears for some OEMs.
i do not agree with those numbers because there are many mobole companies manufacturing android devices where as like blackberry is only black berry ios is only apple etc
AnonD-78805, 13 Nov 2013hoe can you prove that nokia would be successfull with android ? HTC and Sony makes better dev... moreHow do they make better phones? If theirs was better than samsung, they would sell millions.
AnonD-27765, 13 Nov 2013If Nokia wanted instant success, they would have gone the Android route. But no. That's agains... moreWindows 8 have trebled the volume of sales and the handset are coming in at a price that makes them very appealing.
The Windows 8 hardware handsets compete with Android quite easily. Windows 8 is let down by the OS
I jumped ship as there wasn't anything real to gain from another Android device but now regret it
The Android OS allows? apps to run in the background Windows 8 does not.
I think others who go from Android to W8 wil be disappointed and move back as I will
There is some really basic apps that are on Android that will not work on W8 eg all timer apps and security features like anti theft alarms which trigger if someone moves your phone.
Once off there is no alarm it does come on AFTER you enter your lock code by that time the personis long gone
Android is the best OS ATM, but any converts to W8 will miss Android simply because the alternative is hardware only IMO
In 2014 you can include me in the Android figures again.
Unless W8 offer a viable alternative to Android then it will be all Android.
W8 needs to fix their OS as my OLD Android is functionally superior to my 4G LTE phone
AnonD-78805, 13 Nov 2013hoe can you prove that nokia would be successfull with android ? HTC and Sony makes better dev... moreHTC and Sony don't have a huge following as Samsung and Nokia do. Most Samsung users are former Nokia users. Actually, most Android users are ex-Nokians as Nokia once dominated the mobile phone industry. If Nokia can resurrect a dead OS (Windows Phone) then it can as well be successful in Android x100 than it is in Windows Phone.
Anonymous, 13 Nov 2013Wow. I wonder how Tizen will do against this?Let's all be brutally honest.
This is Skynet just starting to take shape.

AnonD-205852, 13 Nov 2013good job iOS. as it is only used by iPhone ,while android is used by h&c samsung lg nexus ... moreIf you're going for logic then Samsung is kicking Apples ass with their 40%!!! Think about what you said look at the figures then come back with any valid point that can undermine mine. Oh and im not a Samsung fanboy as i own the best phone available - HTC One (look at the awards).

AnonD-77443, 13 Nov 2013Note 3 >> Nexus 4 or 5 or 7 or 10!At the price of the Note 3? NO!
AnonD-27765, 13 Nov 2013If Nokia wanted instant success, they would have gone the Android route. But no. That's agains... moreHOWEVER. We keep reffering to nokia as some sort of operational company. We really should be saying Microsoft
galar, 13 Nov 2013nexus > Samsung since N4Note 3 >> Nexus 4 or 5 or 7 or 10!
Mr. R, 13 Nov 2013Nokia would BEG for a chance to be as successful as Sammy or Apple. Isn't going to happen though lolIf Nokia wanted instant success, they would have gone the Android route. But no. That's against their philosophy. Nokia wants to differentiate itself from the rest and not just follow and do what everyone is doing. They're creating their own niche and are working hard to establish it. Even with loads of billions of dollars in cash reserves, Samsung and Apple will and can NEVER make devices as great as Nokia's devices.
