Updated my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Last night I checked my phone's software update and it showed a 700 mb update. I downloaded the update package and my phone updated successfully. It upgraded to Android 4.3 which really has some cool features. Light effect (screen unlock) Is my personal favorite & i liked few others too. But it has some problems too. The most dissapointing of all is the Video Player. It replaced th previous Video Player which was there in Android 4.1.2. The video player looks very low standard which was a lot better in 4.1.2. The battery drained faster & even the RAM management is not great. Bring back the old Video Player !! Hope,Samsung provides a stability update to increase battery performance & better RAM management.
For those who haven't updated their device I would suggest to wait for some time and get Android 4.4 or else wait until Samsung provides a stability update if you don't want to compromise your battery's performance for not so 'BIG' update.

Got android 4.3 today for my GT-N7100. Was really disappointed, though some nice upgrades. Battery level increase drastically, previously, when was on 4.1.2, battery lasted for 2 days, but now, not even 1 day! This sucks.
Anonymous, 24 Nov 2013battrey bak up same or bad? after updating to4.3?I have updated my Note 2 to 4.3. But after update my battery backup is very poor.on 4.1 battery backup was great.
I had updated to 4.3 on 24Nov'13 via Kies 2.6 (Win 7 Pro). Before starting update I backed up all data through Kies and then did a 'Factory Reset'. Even then I had to remove all other usb drives including my data card to overcome the error "failed to run firmware upgrade.unknown error occurred". Then using BSNL broadband I smoothly installed 4.3. It took about 2hrs to download and ~1/2 hr to install.
After restoring backed up data I left it overnight and found, in the morning, battery had drained from 90% to 70% (in ~7 hrs). I then backed up all data via Kies 3, again did a Factory Reset and then restored. Yesterday I left it overnight at 40% and after ~7hrs this morning the battery showed 38% (a drop of just 2%).
Ram is almost same as in 4.1.2 i.e about 800-850 after use for some time and 650-700 after 'clear memory'.
I have not checked the other issues like lag etc. but has not felt anything abnormal after 2 days.
Overall the performance of 4.3 is satisfactory for me.

My KIES says "Your device's current firmware is not supported to update firmware via Kies." However, when I tried OTA using my mobile network, download started but when I switched onto my WiFi, it shows The latest updates are already installed.
Anyone has a take on this?
Any help will be really appreciated.
