Q:Why do they need 128-bit chips inside the phone ?
A: They would be running Android™
Fighting the lag since 2007 :P
Pointless gimmicks. Yawn. A single core 1Ghz processor designed to play 4k video, 8, 16 bit videos, with a 41 MP camera, saving battery in an optimized OS can simply put these core and bit wars into shame.
chips already play 4k, my pc has trouble. but mobile brands race in selling, so i can see next gen pcs, just choose os capable of desktop capabilities.
i would just enjoy in heart that *overpriced 64bit *phone is left behind with 128bit 'copy' :).
AnonD-78079, 19 Nov 2013128-bit chips? really? what are the benefits? how much RAM are they going to shove in there? w... more128-bit CPUs are as useful as eight-core phones these days. In other words, they are a shiny gimmick that Samesung will use to attract spec junkies.
128-bit chips? really? what are the benefits? how much RAM are they going to shove in there? will it somehow improve the power/tdp ratio?
i mean, if desktops don't use 128bit why would phones?

AnonD-134497, 19 Nov 2013So a 800$ and a 1200$ device are in works. Yawn!Surely it is better than windows empty boxes from nokia .
