The problem is not with google guyz...the problem is with our (indian) government...which imposes high custom dutiess..thats why phones are costlier here...!!...and in us also 16gb is 349%+34$ for tax and shipping..which comes around 24-25k in indian rupees..so in short phone is 3k costlier here..!!
I would says the prices in India are way cheaper when compared to galaxy s4 , Xperia Z1 and LG G2.
So come on people stop complaining and grab them soon
AnonD-207960, 20 Nov 2013back in stock.. chk nowgone again.. keep on chcking , it on and off. i donno y!
So they haven't even cover main European countries, but they heading to India and Hong Kong... lol
after hk$ to rupees conversion, it means for hong kong its rs25743 & rs28883 for nexus 5 16gb & 32gb.
also its rs19303 & rs22523 for nexus7 16gb & 32gb.
for nexus 7 32gb lte[cellular] its rs28963.
I dont see it in playstore if I search Nexus 5...
Only apps and wallpapers are shown.
Anonymous, 20 Nov 2013What nonsense...i can order the nexus 7 32 GB for 19k from amazon.com..INCLUDING shipping &... moreThat is the old version of Nexus 7 (2012 Edition). The one listed on Play Store is the new Nexus 7 (2013 Edition
Price is too high in indian market 16gb nexus 5 is 29000 which is equivalent to 476$ and 32gb nexus 5 is priced at 33000 which is 550$
The price you are seeing on US sites are without tax. The one we have in Indian playstore is with high import duties. We can't really blame google on this. It is nothing but national policy. Similar rules applies to other imported items. At least the items are available here with local warranty.
lol, dont blame your the manufacturer. Blame your country's customs/tax. Grey market usually bypass this, hence, they can sell product very close to the US price.
The problem is not from Google. Ask your government to reduce the tax.
AnonD-207959, 20 Nov 2013Wtf is wrong with google so much price difference it should be below 25kIn US the play store price is 349$+shipping+tax=approx 390$ depending on ur state...Now if u add d customs(7%) on base price (25$)...total=415$=26K(approx)...so Google is charging 3K extra in India considering that they don't expect many Indians to earn money from sales of apps
Anonymous, 20 Nov 2013Very expensive in India... Google should learn from Samsung on how to price products in India...Like 46,000/- for the Galaxy Note III, right? Or 29,000/- for the dual-core Galaxy Mega? Great pricing.
