Anonymous, 29 Nov 2013Nice thinking.
Buying willingly a 2 year old smartphone and wishing for latest updates on ... moreSorry not clear.
I bought the phone in June 2012 so it was a little over a year and the S3 was all the rage as new.
Afaik both the S3 and S2 were rumoured to get the 4.2.2 update, now the S3 gains and the S2 loses out
It probably is a sales thing as S2 will have to upgrade to the S4
It makes you wonder when the S2 made Samsung a household name why it was overlooked
Got my update a couple of days ago but cannot really tell the difference, as usual.
Anonymous, 29 Nov 2013Nice thinking. Buying willingly a 2 year old smartphone and wishing for latest updates on ... moreSince the iPhone 4 its getting the latest software (iOS7), why cant the S2 receive the latest Android 4.4, sience is 512MB RAM optimased? Android OEMs forget their old flagships, Apple updates their phones till is hardware posible.
Samsung No, 29 Nov 2013I had a choice and decided on the S2 as I did like the size of the S3
Now not even the 4.2.2... moreNice thinking.
Buying willingly a 2 year old smartphone and wishing for latest updates on it. I wouldn't never have had your courage..
4.1.2 is final update for S2.
The update for UK versions of the SGS3 rolled out on November 11,and took the Samsung Mobile UK fb page 8 days to finally post something was wrong. Samsung Mobile UK has only posted two updates about the incident and still continue to dish out the generic thanks and sorry response. Hopefully Samsung has an ace up its sleeve to deal with the thousands of unhappy early adopters of the firmware.
