LOL at this, all these companies have been passing consumer information to the government FOR YEARS, and suddenly they act all responsible, reliable, and trustworthy towards their consumers...
I'll take this with a grind of salt, i doubt they will really change their internal policies, maybe this is just to create a favorable image to the public...
not thrilled >.>
[deleted post]I read your initial post. I second what you are saying.
What makes you thinl that only google does that???
Can you show me any proof??? If not then you have no rights to talk about it...Micrsoft is making people believe that google steals data but thay cry when google doesn't release G apps for WP...they want google to steal from their own cistomers????That is how buisness works..when you're a big fish other will try to pull you down...MS does the same with google when it comes to internet based services....
For me it's too little too late. Firstly, I don't trust american businesses anymore and I'm pursuing a plan (my plan) to replace every american service/device with whatever anything else.
Some gold rules: break the ecosystems! They work in the businesses' interest, not in the in the individuals' interest. Don't sync anything in the cloud, make your own backup locally, install your own mail/data server if posible. And of course, live your life offline as much as possible. Take care of your own privacy - nobody will do it for you, instead.
The internet could have been a great thing, but...
popye, 09 Dec 2013The audacity of Google joining this crusade against anti-privacy when they themselves are guil... moreThat goes for your Crapple too. Touch ID? NSA? LOL gimme a break.
But did you guys asked yourselves, "can you live without those big companies?" i doubt.. you need yahoo mail, then you need to provide info.. you need gmail, then you need to provide info to use it.
Whether they're pro or against, we are still prone to identity theft... even the government can use it against us.. its not just that "i dont care as long as im not doing anything illegal.." wrong! That's why there's the word PRIVACY. but i guess the world today is trying to remove that from the dictionary...
Good and Brave step indeed ' someone had to do that , if they r going for it themselves..' thatx good enough .. provided that this measure , itself ,is not a part of f-ing conspiracy theories...
my only problem is why the hell NSA would collect data from non usa people? i am a indian i should give my data to indian goverment. not to any amerrycant.
i dont care what us gov does to us guys but i am not a us guy. i should not be spyed my nsa. who gave the right that a forign govermebt should spy alien people???
Don't forget Samsung with their KNOX spyware embedded in the firmware.
Heh, Facebook against spying. Maybe the tards who run it will stop putting our phone numbers on our profiles without telling us?
:)))big brother google is so innocent:))), I'm not saying that the others are, but privacy and google = water and oil
