guess NOKIA had to adopt android back in 2009/2010 to remain a smartphone/mobile-phone leader, now it's too late.
Or maybe this will be a NEW NOKIA available after the OLD FAILED NOKIA will be purchased by MS... guess NOT :P
I'm really sure NOKIA will buy Jolla and adopt Sailfish and start to produce a new generation of phones(outsorced production) in 2015/2016 :)after MS aquisition...
I would buy this phone. Nokia make good phone hardware it is only the OS that is the problem. I don't know why they have been resisting android for so long
i like nokia phones and waiting for this mobile .........
That is good, how can get one. Im at nandi hills kenya.
Someone could port full android to this device or not.?
maybe not, if nokia is building an android device, then the competition will now be based on hardware,. come on, you cant feel any lag on those windows phone, unlike android even if you have a huge amount of ram and multi-core processors, they even lag. Nokia's 512 mb ram phones don't lag unlike 512's of androids.
i m so excited by this annoucement...
Do that and if it happens to have an official Cyanogenmod ROM then I will for sure buy that Nokia!
NO WAY....
I don't know how you can just think about something like that. There is no chance Nokia/MS will make an Android device!!
Btw: On the pic you see a new Asha-device
Nokia Completes the android os...
its about time for nokia phones!!!can't wait for that!!
nokia normandy - ANDROID ROM -not real android os - nokia so desparate -tricks - same nokia hounding HTC android ! nokia COPYCATS ?
good
Go fast
Seems Nokia is trying hard to come back in glory...the 2 posts made my day....First nokia normandy to install android apps and now Sailfish ported to nokia n9...be it either, hope so alongwith WP8, nokia plays a safe game to hurt Samsung for now. Nokia FTW!
Given that specs are decent and price is right(even if slightly more expensive since it's a nokia) I will get it. Hoping that it will be a direct competitor to the Moto G. If it comes at $250, 32GB or 16gb with SD card and 8MP Camera, it will be a great device overall.
Actually Nokia's India business might not merge with MS at all because of Nokia's tax disputes with the I-T dept.

finally :d
Just have one Nokia 2310 but I wouldn't mind getting this phone if it runs android applications and comes with Nokia Here Maps. This will definitely be a hit if the rumors are to be believed. If Nokia had chosen Android as their main OS, they'd have been dominating the market right now.. Let's hope this isn't some dream.
Too late, I'm switching Jolla.
