Losers.... Windows phone is doomed.... Been there since the 90's... Best case scenario will be some share within the corporate sector,,,, consumer,,, just leave it to Android and Apple.... Microsh*t...
I think this is ok. Give choice to phone manufacturer to either provide onscreen keys or capacitive keps (as in my Lumia 920). I am trying to think how this will impact cost of manufacturing. Guess with onscreen cost should be lower and hence we should get more affordable price. Any thoughts?
Personally I prefer the capacitive keys but actual usage will tell whether this is change for better. I dont like onscreen keys on Android.
Less reaching for the thumb in one handed use is one benefit - at least on larger devices.
I honestly do not understand why the heck you would want that bar taking away "screen real-estate" when you already have physical buttons doing the exact same thing.
Oh well, I guess arguing logic is Microsoft is just a lost cause (looking at their recent track record).

Kopi-O-Siew-Dai, 14 Dec 2013Really? How you know MS will not restrict the OEMs so that all WP will have a standard design ... moreall wp dont have physical camera button, it only nokia thay gave physical camera button
Why do you need touch screen buttons when they already have physical capacitive buttons,I don't think the old lumia series would have touch screen buttons with 8.1 update,if they do so that would be stupid and will losse the screen space. But hope MS will add a file manager rather than these lame buttons on a screen cause I prefer physical capacitive buttons,we will wait and see the reality how it actualy will be.
