MS - windows phones- samsung has made before and launched 2013- high expensive end- DIDNOT sell well at all - customers DRIVE THE EVOLUTION THEORY -survival of the fittest- in market place- MS is lost its gleam after bill gates left the driving seat.. pity ! EVEN NOKIA now producing HEAVILY MODIFIED ROM ANDROID PHONE .. NOT REAL ANDROID ! funny old world ! copycats and fakers .. but customers can always tell .. MERRY X-MAS.

darknite, 15 Dec 2013Old argument... after all project butter is also that which miserably failed for android... wo... moreFallacy. I didn't question anything about Android. I merely stated that WP provides long animations to hide their inability to open an app quickly. If all you have to address what I say is a bunch of red herring and fallacious arguments that have nothing to say about what I told… well, it says a lot about you and WP.

Clue: saying whatever you want about Project Butter and Svelte does not take away the fact that WP animate tiles too long just to hide their slow speed to open some processes. Your typical fallacy.

Yes, I have a Nexus 5 and a Nokia (oops, Microsoft Lumia) 1520. The cute tile animations starts to get on your nerves by 1 week.

The Nexus 5 is smaller, higher res and faster. And has more apps. And more important apps. And it's open source. And you have freedom. And you can program it quickly and easily. And, and and and... but I will throw you a bone: the 1520 has a better cam, even though the difference is not really what most "experts" think.

Dave, 15 Dec 2013Why does Samsung need to though? WP is okay but more people love iOS and Android. Plus there f... moreBesides, Samsung is pretty well already, thank you. They don't need to sacrifice their freedom to include their own apps and ecosystem to adopt a system that provides them (in their selfish interest, yes) less freedom to do what they want.

Samsung couldn't care less about WP right now. And Microsoft is acting stupid again. They should have gone after a more weak "helper".

But that's Microsoft. It has been a while since they nailed something.

[deleted post]Sorry darky!

I know you are in a lot of pains right now, try an android in your life = guaranteed to make you feel better!

Hope you and your cousins know that any android phone now works with a Bluetooth enabled OBD device and accurately replaces the speedometer on your car, plus other gauges too!

Android is king!

Samsung is the future!!

[deleted post]Well... you don't need to be involved in the decision of demolishing a building to say that a demolishing company bringing demolition machines to an isolated building wants to demolish it lol.

It's called _evidence_. You don't see Google burning 1 billion here 1 billion there in cash only to offer "incentive" for manufacturers to merely adopt their own system.

It's like a lone guy offering free booze for people to hang out with him. Yes, it's called "begging".

Why do you need to deny the obvious conclusion based on clear evidence?

Kattan, 15 Dec 2013Microsoft dont kill samsung also with wp you have already killed nokiaThey won't kill Samsung, they're too big now.

However, I'm dying to see the comments of the Nokia board directors now that the only reasonable outcome of the Elopgate happened: Nokia only held the exclusivity to make the heavy lift of Windows Phone, and the others are just waiting for it to (ever?) become successful to enter the party.

And then, when Microsoft does not need Nokia, I'm sure Nokia will be glad to bet all bucks on WP.

Could it be that WP OS is dying already?! If I'm not mistaken, they also did do that to HTC. Would it be nice if Samsung would put some of it's gimmicky features on their WP devices like the ones on Galaxy series.

Microsoft needs to get its $hit together, and incorporate more features in the Windows Phone OS. The App store needs more quality apps too. Only then it can even think of people trying its OS.

Dont kill Htc Lg and Huawei with your crappy OS

The Boy with Red Hat, 15 Dec 2013Well Android users with 4.4 maybe and just maybe will not have any lag or froze devices...I ho... moreWindows Phone is the Houdini of the mobile world.

Is is SLOW, very SLOW. It takes ages to open an app compared to Android. However, they show you those tiles flying away in a very cute fashion so that you won't notice the full second it takes to open an app.

Why do you think they put all those animations? To entertain you? Yeah, right. No, it's because they are slow so they need to cover it up with cute tile animations.

Tetra 3 quad core and still lags... No real or virtual multitasking as it claims...if an html5 video runs on 1 tab of Google chrome and if u open another browse tab in it ... Then none runs in the background... Wp doesn't claim it multitasks, but android claims and it fakes! Plus the ART mode is only for new nexus devices still older devices stay with Galvik runtime...pathetic way of fighting lag in Android!
