I got a 16gb from Tesco in Dec for my son. It's excellent. No kitcat yet though.
I agree :) I love the moto g. And I'm a iPhone 5s user I love both android and apple.
As an iPhone 5 user, this new Moto G handset is seriously impressive.

Well, firstly let me say that the Moto G is an excellent phone, however it isn't perfect. For the price point it is fantastic but don't forget there are phones which are also priced equally competitively, if not more so, take the Huawei Ascend Y300 for example. I personally think it represents value for money but more so that smartphone manufactures take advantage of the naivety or their customers when it comes to pricing their phones.
Virtually every smart phone is made in China and although this phone is considered a bargain by the masses, don't forget there is still a substantial profit made on each unit! For the price you don’t get a charger or headset remember (I personally like the concept but what is the best charger for the phone?). Rather than thinking this is cheap, the others should be considered expensive. Hopefully this unit will push the smartphone world forward as other manufactures will need to devise units to compete in the sub £100 price bracket.
The screen is fantastic, the processor snappy, and the battery life great. The camera leaves a little to be desired but does offer some quirky features. It is a little on the heavy and slippy side which is a recipe for disaster. Motorola describe the screen as “edge to edge” which is a complete misnomer. The Razr i has an “edge to edge” screen, the Moto G certainly does not! “Exceptional phone Exceptional price” however is a piece of Motorola’s (Google’s) marketing spiel I can reluctantly subscribe to. The customisable backs make it further appealing and I have to admit if I saw one of these is another’s hand I would have an instant admiration for their undeniable logic in purchase decision making.
I am being critical but to score full marks something needs to be approaching perfection. NFC would have been a nice feature but for the price this is a forgivable omission. The stock Android is fine with no annoying bloat ware and the KitKat update has been promised for the device which is a bonus.
The bad points (in my opinion), some of which may be specific to my particular device. My unit is not quite perfect in its construction, the bezel does not quite fit flush round the top and dust gets trapped! This is my main disappointment with the phone. Also there is no micro SD card slot, why?!? I’d rather pay 50p/GB than £4/GB. The price of the extra storage is nearly as expensive as that company that sells fruits, and they have incorporated a 100% stupidity tax into their price! This is maybe a strategy to claw in some extra revenue from the sale of these devices? The battery is also non-removable which is strange (and a little unnerving to say the least).
So overall it’s a great phone, just not quite perfect. I’d award it 8.0-8.5/10. If you asked me what would I recommend for £99…………………well the Motorola Moto G of course!
To score full marks the phone would need to be manufactured perfectly, have a micro SD card slot, have a fractionally better camera and be fractionally smaller and lighter. A charger, a headset or even a longer data cable would have also been appreciated.
