[deleted post]Given how their sales and market share have been going I doubt they will be here much longer. BB messed up, they thought people wanted keyboards and small screens and didn't move with the times. Nokia did the same and probably wont survive either.
Thats because you dont care about indonesians user, haha
[deleted post]So much anger.... Do you have shares in BB? :-)
so..... blackberry finally realized that a phone with "made in malaysia" sticker is not selling in Indonesia, so they switch to Foxconn.
it's a fact that most of Indonesian buyers don't trust any Malaysian electronic products due to their mediocre-to-average quality.
It's sad enough that the adoption of BlackBerry 10 is very underwhelming ! I was a Nokia fan for a very long time till Nokia adopted Windows Phone OS...i tried the Lumia line of products with a capital UNSATISFACTORY outcome. I finally decided to give blackberry a chance...so far so good am am SATISFIED with my Z10! I wish more people tried their hands on BlackBerry 10!
""and other undetailed emerging markets""
because in USA, Japan and much of Europe people get better devices, they need to overcome the gap between business and entertainment archetype, it doesn't matter if you can run Batman on a z10 and use it on the x-games, blackberry remains an icon of old and boring people, useful for messenger apps only, when they overcome that image they will be able to start making profit these days.
i have never liked blackberry at all for many reasons, but we really need more companies racing and competing to get the best stuff, its the only way technology advances, it will be sad the day when blackberry finally says "good bye", it will be sad.
Are you serious. Foxconn is the WORST motherboard Manufacturer in the Whole UNIVERSE!.
Oh my god! $4.4 billions. That is almost half of the price of Nokia's devices and hardware division.
Oww, finally Indonesia is the last target marget for highly overpriced Canadian smartphone. Later, before the last breath, BlackBerry will be very Indonesian. Lol.
Blackberry also suffers from the ''cool'' factor. In today's age it is considered cool to own an iphone (God knows why) or an android flagship but uncool to own a Nokia or BB.
Anonymous51, 20 Dec 2013blackberry should try to switch to android and bloat it with blackberry ui and apps .... not j... moreat 10.2.1.1055 we can install apk files and run android apps in bb10 dude..
""hoping the Canadian manufacturer will get on its feet and dust itself off from the downfall it's been into...""
Yes, I hope so, Don't give up and surrender like Nokia and beware of Trojan virus which Nokia was infected few years back.
I think BB took a very wrong turn when it decided to "blend" into the smartphone world by going all touch. What distinguishes BB is their keyboard and OS. Whereas the OS got a very major, and good, facelift, the company did not capitalize on its QWERTY as it should have. Instead it went all touch with a mediocre set of chipsets as well as a weak play store. There was no way for them to have seriously dented IOS and Android. The Q10 and Q5 should have had more siblings and the Z10 and Z30 should not have been born. How could they have messed up and acted otherwise?
