This is a surprise! i have been in mobile phone retailing for almost (13) years and i must say the failure rate for LG mobile phones is beyond comprehension, to a point i am considering not carrying their product range.

In 2008, the total mobile device volume of Nokia's Devices & Services group reached 468 million units, representing an increase of 7% year on year. Strong year on year volume growth in the first half 2008 was significantly offset by slowing growth in the third quarter 2008 and declining volumes in the fourth quarter 2008. The overall industry mobile device volumes for 2008 reached 1.21 billion units, based on Nokia's preliminary market estimate, representing an increase of 6% year on year. Based on our preliminary market estimate, Nokia's market share grew to 39 % in 2008, compared to 38% in 2007.

Yesterday i posted opinion that se will change their strategy n safe their financial..but after read new w395 c901 from se, my conclusion is..Yap! SE ready to bankrupt! It seems that SE can't developt their new tech..Xperia is the last big project from se with htc helps of course..after se stops uiq..now their tech far behind other vendor..just sells "walkman cybershot" brand..if se didn't use these brand name,i believe at Q4 2008 se was bankrupt!! SE is a liar company! I'm not se loyalist anymore..bye bye SE..stay rest in peace

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2009SE will rock during the 2009 because of the Android phone, X2, C908 and P5 SE RULEHa! That's the same statement as in the beginning of 2008! And did SE rock in 2008 with their Hikaru or P5? LOL they never released them and instead gave up on UIQ and trashed the current UIQ-phones.
SE won't rock anymore. Rumors have it, that the whole company will be split apart this mid year. So no P5 or this SE-fanboy-uber-cellphone Hikarus.
From the information I received from the Android project: it will take to 2010 before they can released it to the market and no more smartphone this year!
Just some accessoirs and copy-cat phones!

Like Nokia sold 470,000,000 handsets in 2008 and they're like not sure if they'll like turn a profit for the year? That's like whack, totally whack, like.

The problems for SE started already in 2007. We've seen a slow fall in sales and marketshare in 2008. The financiel crisis only strengthen their problems.
