Even with 10 gb of ram touchwiz will not run smoothly
AnonD-180314, 30 Dec 2013I assume you did not read the bit about 40% less power consumption?and 4.4.2 is already i think about 18 % less memory hungry than other versions of Android so pretty much now Samsung has all the chances to minimize lag and make it much closer to the stock Android experience. They just need to fix touchwiz because the innovations are already here to make it smooth.
Not being a fan of any mobile manufacturer as I use a phone as a tool not a status symbol, I still see people complaining about overkill in tech, well it's development. I'm old enough to remember when pc's had 75mhz processors, yes that isn't a typo, mhz. I remember people complaining that faster chips were not needed. I do agree that batteries in phones could certainly do with improvement but look at the power demands compared with older phones such as Nokia's 3310. As these developments happen so does the ability to take advantage of them.
AnonD-178450, 30 Dec 20134 GB RAM will need 64-bit processor, and 64-bit processor better be run with 64-bit OS and app... moreIts not a necessity to have 4 Gb of RAM for 64 bit chips. It just is a benefit from it. Other features/benefits are complex algorithm apps can run smother and faster, higher framerates, faster app opening time etc. I dont know why people think that 64 bit wont work without 4 gb of ram when the person who made that claim (Qualcomm employee) was fired 2 weeks after.
up until this year from the big players only Apple used DD3 RAM but that isnt true anymore because the Note 3 this year came with 3 Gb of DD3 RAM instead. Iphones have only 1 Gb of RAM because IOS is very memory and energy efficient and they used DD3 Ram of higher bandwith but damn Samsung im looking up to when you implement that DDR4 DRAM on phones. I just need Samsung to invest more time on Touchwiz in the performance aspect not only in features most of us dont use.
Rayyan, 30 Dec 2013You don't need so much ram 2gb is more than enoughthats why note 3 lags with 3gb of ram?
No matter what you say!
Phones every year will have increased Ram, Screen, Camera, Pixel Density etc
Awesome hardware specs but what about the battery ?
AnonD-92553, 30 Dec 2013Yeah samsung plz do release a phone with 4 Gb ram coz your note 3 with 3 gigs of ram lags and ... moreHave you even experience the note3 for 1minute by yourself ???? Those usually trolling android lag blablablah guys are even avoid comment on note3 . Obviously your trolling skill is bad lol
why no company willingly to spend cash on developing a better battery?
DDR4 Woohoo lower power consumption plus better graphics.
Yeah samsung plz do release a phone with 4 Gb ram coz your note 3 with 3 gigs of ram lags and shutter so much. Total piece of garbage. Worst decian I have ever mafe.
They will still cheat in benchmarks.
AnonD-217447, 30 Dec 2013Samsung where you going?ask them.instead of teaming up with Google to optimize the OS to run smooth even on a 600Mhz CPU and 256mb of ram, they re jst adding the cores and rams oh Sammy, these things are supposed to come in the ne two years bt u are jst flooding the market with high spec hardwares.am fed up with their gimmicks lol.....
I find it funny that people who see advances keep going on about improved battery and better design. I'm pretty sure if they improve just battery and design, those people asking for just that will still have something to complain about.
UHD mobile phone screens... such a marketing gimmick. uses LOADS of battery and looks the same as 1080p
I think Samsung must focus to its hardware also not only the software. It sound good a 4gb ram lpddr4 I hope it will not lag and battery life of course.
yeah i really enjoy with these useless comments from the Samsung haters. more harder please í ½í¸ í ½í¸
what is samsung upto?
new s5 with octa 64 bit, 4 gb ram n 16 or 20 mega pixel and android 4.4.2 + sailfish or ubuntu.
Seems overkill to me, my i9100 with its single GB of ram and slow 1.2ghz dual core processor hasn't come up against anything it cannot do. With the newer iterations of android (namely kitkat) supposedly having less system requirements to run properly I can only assume touchwiz is going into overbloat mode!
Keep your ram and 64 bit octocores and make a thicker phone with a minimum 4000 mAh battery that can last a week of light use or a dayor two of very heavy use.
