Samsung is obviously competing against the both tides, high and low end manufacturers and by trying to keep the prices as low as possible for the sake of higher market share instead of profit, so what will happen is that this policy will backfire and the innovation will suffer, the small manufacturers will prevail in Android market leading to Samsung's demise.

They must make knox optional, improve touchwiz and start making metal phones.
lol, the year 2014 will be the year of smartphones, or "smartships". It is probable that we see 3 flagships this year from samsung (and other brands probably). It will be insane, and then 2015 will get back to normal...

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2014al these 'analyst' also said samsung were losing billions from the weak S4 sales... turns out ... moreSamsung expected to sell 80 million galaxy s4 this year and now their number is around 50 million.
That's normal for a giant company just liked what happened to apple
The hedge fund "wall street crooks" managers at it again. Downgrading the stock so they can pump and dump, classic.
this is how all companies work, figures are based on analysts data at hand so most companies have to adjust their numbers during the year to account for over estimating or underestimating sales and earnings, no surprise here, example is apple dropping 2.15% 1 day and then the next day losing a further 5.15% last year wiping almost $35 billion dollars, but it has not done anything to them, so its no suprise that samsungs numbers have to be adjusted. and considering its flagship the s4 is almost 9 months old it is no surprise that there is a slowdown in sales due to anticipated S5 release.

al these 'analyst' also said samsung were losing billions from the weak S4 sales... turns out there was more profit from the S4 compared to the S3, and became the fastest selling android phone of all time.
