for sure the htc is a high quality brand, but have to increase advertising.make phone with the newest cpu and gpu and stronger camera.the body and design are perfect.therewith some nasty company cheated in benchmarks and catches people mind and increase their phones(so htc store decreases).i hope that see htc in top of store and market aside apple.the quality needs to htc...
In Lebanon no marketing and no qualities available for sale when we demand an htc products always unavailable
This is a big problem
HTC need to stop that ultra pixel crap.. Products are over priced,,HTC one max is a big let down .. Step it up !!!
Naive people helping HTC .. thinking beats are best.. just because they been in LMFAO video-clip .. pathetic .. but profitable ..
I feel for HTC, I want them to succeed this 2014. Though I don't have the One (currently using a competitor's phone), their failure is pretty understandable. Most, if not all, Android enthisiasts want value for money (UNLIKE iPhone fanatics), but HTC One wasn't when it was released (pricier in most world markets compared to Xperia Z or S4). Good looking phone, premium build, great display, different UI may help a bit- but in the end, consumers chose a less attractive phone, but with primary features that weren't available in HTC One, at a cheaper price. Including myself.
In India Htc doesn't sell because -
1. Poor visibility of their products at stores. No demo sets.
2. Almost zero marketing
3. Seriously overpriced
4. Company only focuses on existing dealers n certain online retailers. They seriously need to increase their outlets/reach.
5. Company execs at the street level are incompetent
6. Overdependence on national distributor. Hence very poor supply chain.
hope somebody in htc is reading this.
amazing products otherwise.
Or, they could have not bought beats and put the funds saved into R&D. That would have kept HTC competitive.
I disagree with pricing. I think that htc should be making more expensive phones and concentrate on quality, now that iPhone is starting to lose the game. Also, offer more customer input for customizing device, like removable battery, sd-card slot. Htc has always been a power user brand, but lately I cannot see any outstanding models, 4mpx cameras and no sd slot just brings them to the mid-section just overpriced because of the build quality and materials (aluminum case). You don't need durability in this lower perfomance class, since the hardware is old in 6 months.
One mini would have been the success for HTC if they just priced it correct.
I believe htc can win the market easily if they could change the following :
1. Seriously need to reduce the price
2. External sd slot
3. No more 4 ultrapix camera crap , 8mp should be lowest
4. If possible removable battery
I believe htc will win the market easily if they could change
Above all , htc kills themselves especially with their price

no one's gonna count on the 10M profit: it is a one time item which are always meaningless.
HTC really needs market share in the mid range and more in marketing. There's literally no decent HTC midrange (One Mini is soo overpriced here) and nobody knows HTC here.
imperial moniz, 05 Jan 2014HTC setp up your game..... your one of the bestI do agree with you. I have been an HTC customer since 2011. I'd hate to see the company die since they have created beautiful phones. What they need to do is listen to the majority of their customers. Don't worry HTC, this too shall pass.
When you overpriced your products that's the price you gonna pay, consumers will ditch them, no matter what promo you do....
Nokia buy HTC? HTC brings manufaturing plants and Nokia brings patents and good pr.
