Yes keyboards, I hate the touch screen ones, always press the rong buttons, dual sim (one for bussiness another for after work and a way to shut one off for after hours, teathering, so i can run my tablet off of it, sell some unlocked, how about an fm receiver too. Is this to much to ask for? for the prices they want for these phones they should cater to the customer not the provider
Bring back the optical trackpad and separate call buttons. Stop being stupid with things like camera shutter sounds that can't be switched off and not adding an FM radio to flagship models.
amen!
no touchscreen can beat the sensation of physical keyboards.
Instead of taking brainless decisions they could just choose a promising third party (for cutting costs) os like android or W P or jolla and sell low cost devices .
AnonD-57516, 08 Jan 2014My bad experience with the BlackBerry 9900 Bold and 9790 really made me wake up to the fact th... morethe old phones compressed data and that's why the internet speeds were so low. They had the benefit of using very little data. The new phones do not compress their data and the internet speeds are very top notch. Don't bury BlackBerry based on technology it put out in 2011, look at what they put out in 2013. They new phones have all the features of any of its competitors and it surpasses in many areas.
blackberry sucks. Good thing they won't deal with consumers because their customer service and webstore (handled by a lousy 3rd party)sucks big time.
This makes happy to see that blackberry will prefer to make hardware keyboard phones, will see how long blackberry will survive. If my nokia n95 8gb breaks down some day and blackberry makes good non BIS phones then I will buy a blackberry phone.
The hardware keyboard is 1 of the most important features for me. I refuse to buy full touchsreen phones.
Every has a right to dream but this when i read I was wonder if it was April1. Then I was wondering if it was something to do with cartoon network :D
I'm not rooting for blackberry but this new CEO do the right thing. They should focusing on where they excel, that is, physical keyboard.
In addition, they should also lower the price of entry-level blackberry phone. They won't be able with droid & lumia in lower segment with current price & feature.
lol... just when you think you've reached rock bottom... somebody hands you a shovel. go bb! keep digging that hole!
bad decision, tech has moved forward, people are used to iphones and galaxies and nokias now to switch back to old school tech, its good to see that they are choosing a direction rather then trying to hash two devices into one but its the wrong way, i think they should focus on 2 distinct types of phones, as another user commented on this topic, they should have a keyboard based device and a touchscreen based one
My bad experience with the BlackBerry 9900 Bold and 9790 really made me wake up to the fact that BlackBerry cannot make it(CMI).
Even now, my company issued a dumb crappy Bold 9900 and I tried opening a Yahoo webpage and it took more than a freaking minute still not loading but on my Galaxy S4 and Note 3 both loaded in a mere 3 seconds. All 3 phones were on 3G network, not 4G on the Galaxys. The internet experience on the Bold 9900 is the most horrible I ever had. Plus the fact tat Whatsapp was so lag in this crappy BB. I think BB you better RIP.
trend is huge touch screen phone and their brilliant gesture os fit better to full touch screen,my advice is cheap touch screen phones and better advertising, that´s all
hmmmm
I'm loving my z10 and BlackBerry 10!
BlackBerry should make both touchscreen-only and QWERTY devices... that way they will grow and profit.
Still enjoying my BlackBerry Z10.
how about the 1st android phne with keyboard ;)
