hmmm, no touch screen and it´s not big enough and with a normal reslution,, the only way i am getting this instead of n97 is if it´s cheaper enough, if the price is below 450$ it would be ok, but not for more than that,,,
Nokia could make it a touch screen handset and a bigger screen like N97. But not a heavy loaded handset like N97. Then it would be cheaper and affordable. I prefer E series rather than N because of the solid body structure of E series. Hopefully this handset won't upset us. I'm really willing to buy one.
Ugly, awful and inferior to our expectations. An ugly body with a qwerty keyboard and Fp2...2 little...and we were expecting something like N97 for the series.
NOKIA WAKE UP and make a touchscreen E phone.
dude, 23 Jan 2009why are the 'Y' and 'Z' letters switched on the keyboard (both phones actually). takes away th... moreY & Z switch
I think it's the localization of some keyboard
I've seen some notebook computer from my german friend that have that kind of character switch.
So, it's a localization only.
yep.. i agree to nadeem ..9300i is one of the best phones in terms of hardware userinterface.. the keypad with the scroll mouse was excellent.. i cldnt see that in the new phones anymore... i feel the photos that are posted here seem to very old or protos.. i have an e71 white & there is no problem with the keymat...this photo shows both e71 and e75 was z & y keys switched..dont think that will be in actual phone..
Anonymous, 23 Jan 2009true true E71 and E90 are still the best in the E-series...
dont you think its about time ... moreya another communicator may b.u know the best communicator could have been 9300i.but the camera n other features were missing. it was so compact in size..e90 body s*x big time its like a car body paint which comes out and the new e90 housing(fascia) price is also very high. in short e90 should be size of 9300i with e90 features and most important the body material used in e90 should be changed because of the color which comes out.
another qts why letter 'y' is missing from qwerty in e75???
M.A.H, 23 Jan 2009[...]..The OS of course is the latest Symbian S60..[...] Did you mean operating system, Sym... morewell it's not a touch screen so it can't be 9.4 but actually it's symbian 9.3 with fp2!
why are the 'Y' and 'Z' letters switched on the keyboard (both phones actually). takes away the idea of QWERT(Y)
buddies i dnt think its a waste of space by having two keypads..coz if it wudnt then there wud be hardly ne difference between the n series n the e series...it wud look more or less like d 5800 probably there n there abouts..i feel d N n E series both rock ....
i just cant understand tht y put a mere 2.4" screen with a qwerty keyboard....really dumb...neway...the phone luks nice
[...]..The OS of course is the latest Symbian S60..[...]
Did you mean operating system, Symbian v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5?
I do not know, and there are some who say that ... But I do not think ... what do you say about this
I like the concept ... the only problem for me is the resolution of the screen ... 320x240 just isn't enough to make me change my already 320x240 S60 phone. I need to change my phone with a bigger resolution phone and I love Nokias so I guess 5800 is the only available option now (N97 is too expensive and is not launched). They launched also a S40 phone with bigger resolution (6260 slide - 320x480) which is great but cant go back to S40 phone. Or maybe they will surprise us and the phone will have a 320x480 resolution.
This guy looks amazing! Looking forward to the official announcement and the release!
This phone is a nokia E51 with a keyboard at the back..
Fan of E series. Used E 50 and E 51. Now waiting for the release of E75
much better this keyboard instead 5730`s.
sure want to be able to hold this baby... It will certainly give the 'brick' e90 a nice competitor. Nonetheless, just really wondering...if we take a look at the keyboard carefully, i believe they have somehow misplaced the Y-Z button, making it not a QWERTY keyboard but a QWERTZ keyboard. Any chance that this faulty shall be fixed?
2.4" display on a 2009 phone in the corporate E-series range? Is this a joke Nokia?
Yaaawwwwnnnn.... MWC is gonna be pretty dull this time around.
yay!!! i love this phone!
