Sony's (and most other manufacturers) Android 4.3 updates are causing many issues including (amongst others) higher CPU temps, reduced battery life and bluetooth connection issues. Now we know why Google rushed Android 4.4 out so soon after 4.3. There is no point in being bothered when/if an Android 4.3 update becomes available for your phone. Instead look to see if a 4.4 update is coming otherwise you could stuck wishing you could downgrade back to 4.2.
What about xperia l, t and v are old news now (though they are still pretty powerful). The is no reason why xperia l shouldn't get 4.3 or even kit kat. It's chipset is more than capable of handling such software.
All these recent posts on 4.3 and 4.4, which phones get it and which don't, just confirm that Android is a total mess. The only reliable way to get a new update is to buy the most expensive model in the hope it will be supported for a year.
Instead of every company customising Android to whatever THEY think it should be, how about they keep it simple and start focusing on the users. A total joke.
Well, Until now I don't received 4.3 updates on my Sony Xperia Z1 Model Number: C6903, Android Version: 4.2.2, Build Number: 14.1.G.2.257, Country: Philippines
Not sure if good news or just a PR stunt to keep teechies happy. Those who already updated to 4.3 on the high end devices are reporting problems with battery life along with overheating issues and whatnot.
And what's up with the "considering to update" part? The SP has more than enough muscle to handle 4.4. Hell, even the T, TX and V are worth another upgrade.
It's the Xperia S all over again, folks.
Man Sony is awesome with thier updates, I have the HTC one s, and updates for it have been terrible to say the least. Definitely keeping an eye on Sony when I upgrade soon.
suzy, 16 Jan 2014People are busy with 4.4.2 updates. Sony is still in 4.3. Updates should be like Moto G. Waiti... morethis is a mid range phone and sony cares about them , that is good enough, look at other manufacturers , they only keep their top end updated
