Smaller bezel and slightly smaller screen should be great. But for now I settle with z1 compact.
Chin, 20 Jan 2014If Z2 is just 4.9in, not 5.2in, sorry! I will change my mind to buy Samsung S5.Theres probably 2 new Xperia, the Z2 at 5.2 inch 1440p with S805 chipset, and this one with around 4.9 inch 1080p display and S800.
Maybe only the 5.2 inch is water resistant, but rumors has it that Z2 Compact will come later with S805 chipset and a 4.5 inch 1080p display and that will be the smaller water resistant flagship.
It's 4.86 inch without the on screen buttons.
And the whole screen is 5.2 inch.
I love the way Sony make their Ui Close to Stock Android!!!!! good work Sony!!!!
Soooo lovely! Wishing it will push thru! But it feels like to happy by 99.9%!!! Hahaha! And pack it with IPS display, this will kill Samsung's Galaxy S5!

Reminds me of the 'original' Xperia UI - first seen on the Xperia X10i. Wish Sony could make a device just as beautiful.
I dont understand what this phone brings, its basically the same as the Z1 no real improvement. same screen size, same proccesor, same ram, same camera..... what is the point of this, thought they was ment to release a better new phone
This display size is 5.25" 1080p, because the 4.86" in size is only 1776 pixels...
The camera must be awesome!
Why there are always haters exist in every post ?
Need to see the doctor ?
I think It's not Z2 maybe it could be ZL1 (ZL2 or whatever Sony call it).
for those who say android lacks finesse! the most quality looks for an android
Dear Sony, please give this a monster removable battery, an FM radio and a super bright notification light.
Nice if its 4.9 1080p display, then no need for S805 with Adreno 420, S800 and 330 is more than enough. With slim bezels AND smaller display its gonna fix the major problem with Z1, which of course is the phablet-like size.
Its safe to assume the 5.2 inch 1440p device with S805 and A420 exists as well, that may be the real Z2, and this may be the successor of ZL (the x65xx model number corresponds to ZL)
AnonD-222610, 20 Jan 2014Damn. On screen button again.Ya man i am really salivating watching this stuff...hey i love onscreen keys or software keys. All in all, 2014 is shaping out to be one where the all phone geeks myself in that mix...will really get their cellphone flagship sugar high. Bring it on OEMs... HTC, Sammy, Sony, LG, Motorola, Oppo, etc...bring it on.
