I actually ordered the Icon off the Verizon website. They even sent a email confirming purchase. Then a day later I get a order cancelled email.
it is really getting old for me also.
Agreed. It's getting silly and embarassing to tout this phone from a business perspective when they can't even hint at a release date after so many months. There are likely problems.
They've been trolling around with releasing this phone for so long I am seriously starting to look at other options..
I really hope this comes out Feb. 5th as my contract with Big Red ends on the 11th of Feb. If not I will hold on the my HTC Rezound till it does launch. I like Android, but I am tired of my brand new phone not getting support after 6 months, causing bugs, crashes etc. etc.
We'v heard the same crap since October....tired of being jerked around with the release of this phone... :/
Or April 5 or May 5 or June 5. For Gods sake we've been hearing this since October. By the time it comes out it will be irrelevant. Verizon hates their customers. Either that or they're just indifferent to them.
...add to that the 20nm process that will use less power and generate less heat. Good times people.

Don't you think they will develop DX 11 graphics when Snapdragon 805 becomes commercially available? I think they will.
And LTE 150MB/s is already availably in my country. I expect 300MB/s to become available in the not to distant future.
The only iconic thing about this phone is that everyone knows what to expect but will never get a chance to lay their hands on it considering the lag in release ..
The phone looks good but please, bring an international variant for people who like to have the 1520's specs in a smaller package.

Unfortunately, slim/thick design isn't always indicative of battery capacity. My current phone has 3000 mAh, but the JiaYu G6 will sport a 5000 mAh battery, whenever it becomes available. As well as A7-based CPU.

This phone with these specs will be smooth, as we know Windows 8 mobile OS runs smooth with lesser hardware, now if only Windows would hurry up and expand their app store with relevant apps, they could become a major player, until then they will only follow the Android and Apple platform.
