Good to hear that. If Samsung stops worrying on software side and only focus on the hardware innovation, it will not only boost the business of these two giants, but it will also help bringing the great products to the consumers....cheers
I think this is really a great excellent news!!!! For all Those tech lovers like me! And for all the technological world!!!! So really compliments to Samsung and Google!!!! Well done, and really keep it up!!!!!

Even the Apple's advertizing machine , that HTC used to sell big bezel, sealed, apple-ish tin-can, didn't help.

A while ago it was said that Google wasn't happy with Samsung's "monopoly" over Android. Now they're together I wonder what happens to other Android makers.
Google's ambition is big, they want more than just smartphones, the acquisition of Nest prove that. And the partnership for Google-Samsung is more than on smartphone only, probably aiming for all the household electronics.
finally some common sense in business, with some collaboration allowing for these two companies to avoid wasting pointless time and money fighting each other in court and instead allowing them to focus on developing the next gen of technologies that we as the consumer will benefit from.
a fine example for other companies to follow.
Limited, 27 Jan 2014Nope.. Google relies heavily on Samsung.. It might turn the other way around.Right now i think for most people out there, it's not Android they are buying but Samsung, they'll only realize things are different once they don't get the apps they want and when the OS is different. Some people i know even think they can use the same apps moving from Apple to Samsung.

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2014Samsung's patents seems kinda useless lol. Keep losing out to Apple. That has a lot less to do with their patents. And anything they do have always gets thrown out. Samsung was not allowed to use any proof of prior designs, phones, and concepts. And their patent in the most recent case was thrown out by the judge because "Samsung only acquired it in 2011 to use against apple"...Ridiculous...
On the flip side apple is in the approval process for the way their glass facades and their tables line up in stores....Like mall stores and stuff....Legitly...
